First thing I thought of was this place reminded me of my student days when I would stay in a youth hostel. In spite the shower unit falling off the wall and landing on my baby's head and the lack of space in the apartment, the staff were surprisingly polite and there was free internet access. Also not advisable if you don't have a car...

The welcome at reception was extremely friendly and the receptionist asked me if I would like her to talk in french or english as she knew I was on a language course.The apartment was shockingly tiny but I was relieved to see that it was at least clean. I soon got used to the size of the accommodation and I found the bed very comfortable. Any reservations about the hotel were swept away when I saw the pool and went for a swim. It was fantastic and it was never very busy which made for several perfectly peaceful afternoons. I have heard that the Citadines, Antigone is superior but the pool at St. Odile means that I would always choose to stay at the latter.

My study abroad group of about 20 students stayed here for a month. I shared a studio with another student. FAR TOO SMALL FOR TWO PEOPLE! They front desk said they would clean our rooms once a week. Our room wasn't cleaned for 2.5 weeks, and when the maid did she simply gave us new sheets and new towels. She didn't clean at all! The front desk often complained that all the noise was coming from our group, when in actuality many of the other residents were FAR more noisy. Couldn't sleep half the nights because of noise, crappy beds, tiny shower. The pictures online are very misleading. Rooms are incredibly small! The maids also stole alcohol from our room. The front desk was very rude when we complained that our room wasn't being cleaned, took an extra 4 days for them to clean it, and outright denied that the maids would steal alcohol. ABSOLUTELY HORRID HOTEL!

The apart hotel is worn, dated, but clean, and located about a half mile from a tram stop, and there is a pizza parlour located right behind it. The staff is courteous and helpful, if possible. I can't go so far to say that the pull out bed is comfortable. It is OK for a few days, but definitely not for the 4 weeks I paid for. My main disappointment is that you are only given clean towels once weekly when the place is cleaned. While I could tolerate the place only being cleaned once weekly, I cannot tolerate drying with the same towel for a week.... 7 whole days. Since this is an apart hotel, there are numerous smells from cooking in the rooms.... such as burning food, which are not that pleasant. Additionally, I was not forewarned by the French school that booked this place, until after I had paid non-refundable fees, that I had to pay 150Euros security deposit. I'm not sure if this was a condition for those referred by the school, or everyone. When you cash in Euros for USD you get less back, and this is a considerable amount that you don't have available to you for expenses. I leave tomorrow and hope that there is not a problem getting my deposit returned.
