I had a flying visit at the Mercure in Montpellier because I was trying to get across France during the recent strikes and the buses and trains were very unreliable. It was a relief to arrive at the hotel, I had a bit of trouble finding it and there were no taxis (because of the strike). The staff were very professional and friendly. The room was large and they had room service which was all I wanted. The bed was the most comfortable I'd slept in for a long time and the room was also quiet.

I've just returned back from my business trip to Montpellier.
I've enjoyed my stay in Mercure Montpellier Antigone.
My stay was from 03 to 09 October 2010 in a privilege room.
Room was very spacious , bed is comfortable , very nice 42" LCD , Sofa , free mini bar. The room was always clean , service was great.
Restaurant: Breakfast was very good for a French hotel , many varieties, service was great.
Dinner: there were a sea food buffet dinner on Friday night , it was very nice , various , atmosphere was great , service is excellent.
Location: very good location very near to the river restaurants and Polygon restaurants. 10 min walking to the center & place de comedie.
I'd like to say that the hotel staff were really professional and always smiling and at your service. Thanks to the hotel team.
I'd sure come again and recommend it to my friends.

This hotel is in an excellent location for exploring the city center. It is just a short walk to the Place Comedie, and the Polygon shopping mall is right outside the hotel. All in all a good value. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and good value.

I stayed at the hotel for business with a conference group.

The rooms were nice and modern, comfortable bed with separate bathroom and toilet. There was double glazing on my room which kept down the noise from the busy street outside even during the world cup match celebrations after the French beat Portugal!

There were also quieter rooms I think on the courtyard side.

The breakfast was very good and plentiful.

The area is nice and near the river in the very modern Antigone area which is only a short walk throguh a pedestrian area from the Place de la Comedie and the city centre.

With the new trams in Montpellier, it was only 5 minutes on the tram to the main train station which was much quicker than a taxi and only 1.30 Euros. In addition, the Antigone complex has many amenities and there is an Olympic pool just opposite the hotel which is open until 10pm most days.

I would recommend the hotel to visitors as well as business travellers.
