We arrived late at night with a long standing pre-booking. Trying to get to the hotel was a nightmare with typically badly signed diversions around what looked like a major road design, adding to the frustration of being able to see the brightly illuminated sign as we circled around it at least twice. Our room smelt fusty when we arrived and the carpet didn't look that clean. I assume we got one of the rooms normally reserved for physically handicapped guests as it was conveniently near the reception and restaurant on the ground floor and the bathroom was appropriately kitted out with an unenclosed shower and proper seat. Unfortunately this meant that water soaked the whole bathroom floor which might explain the smell if the room carpet got wet. Breakfast was good quality. OK for one night stay to break journey as close to motorway.
