I have just come back from Montpellier after spending New Year´s Eve at the Pullman Hotel. I can´t say whether it is difficult or not to get there by car as we went by train and it is just a short walk from the station. Some people here are complaining they have to cross a parking place to get to the center of town, but that is if you want to. It is a shortcut and quite convenient as you immediately arrive to the shopping center and from there outside, so I can´t see anything bad in that, it is a personal choice to save time.
From the moment you enter the hotel, you feel like someone special. Everyone is so helpful and nice!
We were given the room 400, near the elevator, and I thought this could be a problem for the noise. I was wrong, I never heard any during the three nights we stayed there.
The room: normal size but enough for us. A well stocked mini bar, complimentary bottles of water every day, and lots of little extras. Same applies to the bathroom, with Roger Gallet toiletries every day, slippers, and very fluffy towels.
We had a problem with the kettle and immediately a lady came to change it.
The only thing that was not very good is the carpet that needs changing.
The bed and pillows: One of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Amazing. Two kinds of excellent pillows too.
TV: lots of channels of many countries.
Breakfast: I am not going to call that a breakfast but a brunch! A wide range of food to choose from and everything was first quality starting from the butter. Herbal tea is just wonderful too.
You also have complimentary internet connection for an hour. That is excellent if you have to email home.
We decided to have dinner at the restaurant on the 31st Dec. and I can´t find the words to thank the wonderful time we had. The food was delicious, the service was super and the atmosphere, with the pool and Montpellier in the background was very romantic.
So a big thanks to all the staff of this hotel to make us enjoy our stay. Their service is of a five-star hotel and they take care of every detail to make the guest feel at home.
You really regret having to check out. A good example of team work. Congratulations!
