“Clean and friendly in beautiful Collioure”

We had a lovely stay in this hotel. The room we had was clean and had a terrace with shrubs and flowers surrounding it and a view of mountains and the town. There was no lift so get fit before you go! The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was very good and the staff were always checking that all was replenished and presented well. On our last day, when we left early, they opened up the dining room just for us!
The rooftop pool was very well maintained and the terrace was shaded by trees and yet equipped for sun worshippers.
The small gym was equipped adequately too.
It is a short walk from the bustling town and lovely beach and also from the railway station. We don't usually return, but will definitely consider it at the Madeloc! Thanks for great holiday.

“Very helpful staff & lovely hotel!”

My family stayed at the Hotel Madeloc for almost a week. During this time, the staff were incredibly friendly, breakfasts always tasty & with lots of selection and best of all (although not controlled by the hotel) the sun was shining!

We had two lovely little rooms with balconies and easy access to the pool. It was the perfect spot for us and I cannot wait to go back!

“Nice hotel, a bit pricey, not great if you're unfit.”

Collioure is stunning, with loads of charm. Hotel Madeloc is a good, clean and stylish hotel. It's a little hard to find - go down into the centre of town, & follow signs to La Gare / Sapeurs Pompiers. The hotel is a 10 minute stroll up a fairly steep hill from the town centre, and rooms are on 3 floors with no lift. These are not reasons not to stay here, but may help. The hotel did feel more expensive than equivalent quality in other nearby towns.

“High expectations from website not fulfilled”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2011

The website looked great so we had high expectations for our stay at the Madeloc. We paid 159 euros and only on arrival realised that parking was an extra 8 euros and breakfast an extra 22 euros (for 2). Very helpful staff but the whole place was not as luxurious as the website promised so a clear disappointment, room nr 10 was small (but with a big terrace which was very nice), the pool area (nice termperature in the pool) was quite shabby. The walls between the rooms are SO thin you can hear voices, every cough, snore, visit to the bathroom, and even on occasions hear specific words. We definitely did not feel we got value for money.

“Marvelous stay in Collioure---”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2011

Our family had two delightful, boutique hotel rooms in this wonderful spot. The hotel staff were most helpful throughout our four night stay. We originally booked for three nights but added a fourth after having such a great time. The maid service went out of their way moving us to another room when we added another night to our stay. Layla and Chris on the desk were so very helpful with maps to our next destination and sharing information about places to see and eat in the village. They also booked our reservations at the tennis club in the area. The cost was only 7 euro for the four of us and it was easy to get a reservation---very fun. We loved the pool and enjoyed our afternoons there after tennis and sightseeing . The saltwater pool was the perfect temperature and the views out to the nearby hills were beautiful. Spotless hotel, great service, recently remodeled, and reasonably priced in a charming French , seaside village. Enjoy!

Room Tip: I believe rooms 10, 11, & 12 have the large patios.
