An excellent hotel in a perfect location and reasonably priced at 70eu for the room. We travelled off season and found the hotel to be very quiet, in a little courtyard away from the traffic. We travelled by train... the hotel is in the centre of town, and less than 10 minutes walk from the station... downhill! Sadly it is up hill on the way back but not too steep or difficult. Taxis never seem to be at the station!
The breakfast was quite good... typically French (naturally) and a little bit expensive. It may seem to be cheaper elsewhere but the hotel doesn't charge for extra coffee or for trips to the buffet. The only negative for me would be that there is no English TV channels... my French is not good enough to watch the TV.
Collioure is a delightful little town. Quiet in November, but still with things to see and a few restaurants open. I was recommended by every local I talked to, NOT to come in July or August... it is just too crowded and too hot.
I would definitely come again but I think I would prefer to bring my car so that I could travel around and see more of the country.

The Hotel Princes de Catalogne was a great hotel for us on our first trip to Collioure in August 2011. We paid €330 for 2 rooms for 2 nights and thought we got a great value. It’s location in the center of the town on Rue de la République made it an easy walking commute to everywhere we wanted to go in Collioure. It shares a small lane and courtyard with some local businesses and there is room for 4 or 5 cars. The five of us (2 adults and 3 teens) had 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor, which was serviced by a lift. The triple overlooked the courtyard and was a bit cramped, but had comfortable beds and a desk area along with its tiny bathroom. We were also able to use the free wi-fi in our room. With the window opened, we enjoyed a nice breeze and the sounds of Collioure, although for sleeping we closed the window and used the AC. The double was an interior room that was overall larger than the triple and was very quiet. We did not get the breakfast at €8 per person, opting to experience the two local restaurants at the foot of the lane.

We stayed here during the low season so it was extremely affordable for the quality. The reception area is very well decorated, the building is very nice on the outside, and it's in a fabulous location! It's walking distance to all the restaurants. The rooms are pretty clean, Wifi is free in the room and you can park in front of the building for free... Which I think is limited to a couple of cars, but I think there's other parking close by. Aside from that, the town is incredibly charming!

Stayed three nights in September 2011. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly, a lift that works, and room clean and serviced daily. Nice view over town park.
The hotel is right in town but with only a little noise at night.
Don't be fooled by parking because it's just about non existent and you have to find roadside alternative in as usual challenging town.
The hotel is also very difficult to find because it's off an alley from the main drag. Look for sign in the alley but only on one side! One of our team went searching on foot after three laps of the town in the car failed and GPS was bewildered!
