First of all, this hotel is out on a industrial estate, and it is really not practical to walk to the ´Cite´ from here. I tried it once, and took my life in my own hands on an unlit, unpathed road. You can get a taxi for a reasonable price, and rarely for France, you can order one until late. Don´t walk to the Cite at night, despite what the description tells you.
The room was pokey, as others have described.....and you have to keep getting WI-FI codes, which last about 5 mins because of the limited bandwith.
Don´t understand why they stop breakfast at 10:00 on a sunday.....the only hotel I´ve known that stops it so early. I missed it by 5 mins, and was given the choice of a croissant, a crossant, or a croissant!!! No "don´t worry sir, I´ll fix you a plate from the mounds of food in the kitchen fridge"
The main thing about this soulless hotel, is the grumpy, miserable staff. I don´t know if it was some old French hatred towards the English, but they really were terrible, bar one middle aged lady with glasses who gave me a bottle of wine, after I said the experience was less than perfect.
The cleaner didn´t seem to grasp the concept of a ´Do not disturb´ sign on the door either.
