I think that it has already been said a number of times, this hotel is very good in all areas, cleanliness, service, free Wifi, parking ( watch the narrow driveway at the side of the hotel leading to rear area...Ouch Renault!).

Value for $ (especially AUD) with a basic buffet breakfast and fantastic location easy walk into old city with good restaurants to chose from. (try the cassoulet canard- yum!)

Fantastic location and free parking on site - short walk to La Cite and can walk across the bridge to the new town. Plenty of good restaurants to eat at in the walled city. Added bonus is the self serve laundry on the main road just a few minutes walk away. The newer town is worth a look - typical French town with a lovely square.

I stayed at this hotel earlier in the year in a twin room with no view but found it comfortable with a convenient location.
I returned with my other half and booked a double room with a view. It was lovely to lay in bed and look out at the walled city of carcassonne. The bed was the most comfortable in all our stay in France.
The decor is more like a travelodge, but was clean and the staff were friendly

caracsonne was the least enjoyable part of a 4 week trip around Europe. The castle can occupy you for 1/2 day, but after that theres nothing to see. I would advise making a day trip to Carcasonne to avoid having to pay for over priced accomodation and food. This is the 1st time that I have been sufficiently motivated to complain about accomodation. The air conditioning was not turned on until we requested it, the moveable shower screen in the tiny bathroom did not stop water going all over the floor, and there were no english channels (just 1 would have been nice to while away the long nights in Carcasonne) The hotel is very close to the city wall, but that is its only plus. I would definately give an over night stay in Carcasonne a miss.
