We had made plans with friends living in Paris and they asked what we wanted to do for dinner? We responded with, "Something traditional French." They recommended this place. We had the best dinner experience. First of all, Our waitress was extremely friendly for being very busy. The waitress seats us and hears me speaking English. She offers me an English menu, I kindly ask her for a French menu. When in Rome... She notices my accent and asks me where I am from? I tell her Chicago. She smiles and resumes taking our drink orders. We order very traditional French fare. I was the only American at the table and my friends encouraged me to try this and that. Everything from the foie gras to the escargot was delicious. I ordered the cassoulet for my entree and it was very heavy, but tasty. My friends ordered a grilled duck that was divine. At the end of our meal we took an espresso and chatted up the waitress a bit. We all agreed that we have never had such great service in Paris or Chicago for that matter. I asked her where she learned to speak English so well and she tells me she lived in NYC for a year. It was great to receive exceptional attention when you are spending a nice evening with friends in an amazing city.
