Compared to many hotels this is cheap! If you want marble pillars and 4 poster beds stay at the Hilton. You get what you pay for and at £320 for 4 nights for my wife and myself it was a bargain!
THE ROOMS
Well i've stayed in smaller rooms in 2 and 3 star hotels in paris which needed not only a clean but a 60 minute makeover! Most people going to Paris are looking for somewhere to put there head down at the end of a long day if you want more book elsewhere. Yes the bathroom is small but unless you've had an argument with your partner you really wont be spending that much time in there!
My only complaint about the rooms was the fact there was no English channels on Tv.
The rooms at the front of the hotel over look a school not the best view of Paris but if your out all day it wont matter.
THE STAFF
In the 4 days we were there we could not fault the staff but thats maybe down to the fact if we had a problem we talked to them in a civilised manner!
NO ONE likes getting shouted at so why do it to others? Our only problems? could we get glasses for a bottle of wine we took in? no problem! do you have a corkscrew? no problem! can we get coffee in our room? no problem! there was a charge of €2 each but nothing was a problem to the staff who all out of their way to help! This included on our last night Mohammed showing us how to salsa! Other guests also commented about how nice the staff were, but this as i said was maybe we treated them as equals and not slaves!
BREAKFAST
Tea, Coffee, Bread Roll and Croissant for €6 each per day and you can ask for more.
LOCATION
On the Yellow line close to Nation, the area itself does not look up to much BUT looks can be deceiving! Everthing you need on your doorstep and a 2 minute walk to the metro straight in to the centre of paris.
Would i reccomend this hotel? YES i would! why pay €250 per night for a room just to sleep in?
this was our 3rd time to Paris We have stayed in 3 hotels in different locations and this was our best trip yet! Its about what you want and expect, if you expect the best hotel in the world your not going to get it! there's no swimmimg pool, no late night bar ( though we did sit in the lobby and get drunk and have a great night with the staff) What there is is a cheap well looked after budget hotel, with no frills or extras. i dont see the need to add photo's because the rooms are as seen on the photo's also i couldn't be bothered looking for a speck of dust on top of the wardrobe or elsewhere to photo then go down to the lobby to scream and shout abuse at the staff about the fact i'm paying €80 per night and the windows dirty!
