We just got back from a weekend in Paris, and we stayed at First Hotel. It was absolutely perfect for a short break. It is stylish, cosy and friendly.

The room was small, but perfectly formed. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was excellent with a superb shower. It was really nicely decorated and it felt much nicer than the 3* rating the hotel currently holds. As an added bonus we had a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower from our room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and always happy to have a chat.Their English was excellent and we didn't have any communication issues (which is just as well because my French isn't up to much!)

First hotel is right next to the Metro (not that you would know thanks to the soundproof rooms), and 10 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower and the Seine. It is on line 6 of the Metro which makes it easy to get anywhere in the city. The area around the hotel is lovely has plenty of fantastic places to eat out or grab a cafe creme!

The only thing that wasn't so good was the 15 euros they charge for the buffet breakfast. My advice is to give it a miss and head out to one of the local cafes where you can get an excellent breakfast for half the choice.

However I wouldn't let that stop you booking a stay at First Hotel. We had a fantastic time and I can't recommend it highly enough!

The first hotel was a fantastic hotel in Paris. Great location, literally 15 min. Walk from the Effiel Tower and a taxi station Within 25 ft. From the hotel. The service was amazing they helped me and my mom with every. We even made good friends with the hotels maid. She was so nice that her and my mom exchanged numbers to keep in touch! Overall we had an amazing stay at the First Hotel. Great service from the minute you Check-in till the minute you check-out. We would stay there agin!

We stayed for four nights over New Year Eve. The room was quite small but lovely big bed and nice shower. The carpets, curtains were all balck so could sleep in late and blocked out sounds from street. Breakfast was offered but was expensive 15euro so we decided to get crossaint and coffee around the courner. They had a new tourist kiosk which was fun and helpful. Only two channels in English and room wasn't cleaned for two days and had to go to reception to ask for new towels and loo paper!

The room: We had paid for the deluxe room and were given the comfort room, although we were given a view of the eiffel tower free of charge. Enough space to move around in, enough storage space for a weekend. The room was very well sound proofed from the outside as we were on the roadside and could not hear traffic. The lampshade in the room is a tophat!

The Location: Very good! Right next to the metro station, and in a perfect spot in paris, great restraunts and bars nearby and ofcourse the eiffel tower.

The Staff: very helpful on directions and reccomending places to visit & english speaking.

We did not have breakfast at the hotel so connot comment on this.
