we chose this hotel because of the position t our daughter who works nearby,it was well placed to see all the tourist sites and the metro is opposite and easy to use, the room was clean(maid did a good job every day)but small beds comfy sheets clean, bathroom was tiny and a lot of pre planning and novel positioning was need to make use of it!,stairs are very narrow and steep spiral,we asked in writing when booking for assistance to take our one light bag up to the room and again when we checked in,but despite repeating this in french we got no help,(i must explain ,we werent being snobish i am recovering from several spinal operations and walk with a stick so cannot carry anything and my wife is not to well either,so we just needed a small favour)we also requested a room on a lower floor for the same reason and found ourselves on the third floor with six sets of spiral stairs, as you have no air con we opened the windows at night,it appears paris never sleeps as traffic noise and lots of shouting ,screaming all night from outside makes for a challenge to get to sleep,as long as you accept this the hotel is reasonably priced, clean, well located for all the sites and has lots of facilties nearby(pattisserie, subway, bars etc) breakfast is 6 euros and small so make use of the various cafes nearby for a better deal, use it as a base for exploring and nothing else and you should be happy
