“Spot on Location, surprising good size rooms (studios)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2012

We confirmed our stay although from some reviews it seems that the close proximity to the metro/RER could have been a security issue concerning the vicinity as is the case with most big cities. Another reason was that most hotels were not able to be sure that they can fit in an extra bed for a child in a standard room, never mind the extra charges. Hence this place is suitable for families and it was evident at breakfast that there were indeed many families with children staying here.
The room we stayed in was actually a duplex studio whereby the extra sleeping berth was converted from the sofa. The kitchenettes was well equipped, the microwave was particularly handy for late night snacks bought from Monoprix. My daughter absolutely loved the Sodebo brand of pasta boxes. The main bedroom was in the upper floor with the main bathroom which was huge by any standards. The studio was clean, but the wear and tear on the floor boards, and staircase made it look a bit scruffy. Sad to say, it looked like they got the cheapest renovation contractor when converting the apartment block to a hotel. To be fair however, where it mattered most to us, it was faultless.
The breakfast room is an underground cafe that could not cope when the crowd decided to pull in half an hour before the official breakfast time was up. But the service staff had a positive attitude and worked extra hard to clear the tables quickly, replenish the run out items and they made sure that everyone was eventually catered for. Coffee was good with extensive range, and there were three types of juices, bread, cheeses and just about anything they offered. The decor was cosy with comfortable table and seats despite the lack of space.
We could have taken the RER or Roissy bus to the airport if not for the fact that we had bulky suitcases and a young child with us. The hotel reception was very helpful from day one, booked a taxi for us. The trip was 57€, which was close to 2 times that of the RER/bus option. We thought the extra amount was decent considering the added comfort.
So yes, we will stay here again if the standards remain the same.

“'Gullivers Travels' in Paris”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

Are french people smaller? French hotels, apart from the luxury end of the market seem to have a problem with space. I am 6ft and feel huge in their tiny bedrooms.
This place is no different. Shuffling sideways around the bed and trying to avoid hitting your head on the angled roof joists is a regular problem.
But when you are paying 200 euros a night for the priviledge it seems ludicrous.
The rooms are clean and spartan with a little kitchen area where a wardrobe would be.
I guess this has used up all the room where the clothing draws would be as there were none.
The kettle for tea/cofee making had a 12 inch long lead that did not stretch to the overhead socket!
Nice and qiuet due to the fact it is situated in a cul-de-sac but murder for dab drivers who dont want to come as it means a 12 point turn or reversing 100 metres . Breakfast is a scrum as the tiny area was jam packed with people all trying to buffet at the same time and failing miserably.
This is a concept that simply doesn't work.

“A great place to stay”

We stayed at the Residhome Paris-Opera during our first visit to Paris. It is in a great location with a Mono Prix grocery store close by. The Metro station has an entrance in the same building. It is close to Printemps and has many shopping and food options close by. Our room had 2 separate bedrooms with 2 tv's and a basic mini kitchen. It had hardwood floors and 2 very modern clean bathrooms. The staff speaks English and there is a breakfast area downstairs. We felt comfortable in the area once we got used to the Paris "vibe". I would stay here again.

“Convenient location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

booked a 2 person studio and got upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite. Very clean room and located at a convenient location right beside Printemps department store. Subway is only 2 minutes away. Shuttle bus (roissybus) to Charles de Gaulle airport is 5 minutes.

Breakfast is expensive, there are a lot of other options available near to the hotel.

Highly recommended if convenient location is key to you
