“So Much More Than Expected”

I booked Residence & Spa Le Prince Regent through Eurostar as part of a package that included two return tickets from London on Eurostar. For the reasonable package price we didn't expect too much but we wanted a place in the heart of St Germain so it was more about location for us. What a lovely surprise! We were led to a superb one bedroom apartment with lovely little kitchen and dining area. High ceilings, stylish contemporary decor and modern bathroom. All very clean. Lots of lovely little touches to make our mother/daughter trip really special. We had a quiet apartment overlooking the courtyard and heard no traffic at all. The charming manager, Remi, spoke excellent English and the other members of staff were all lovely and very helpful. The breakfast in the cosy breakfast room was more than we expected with excellent service from the charming staff. The spa looked really nice although we didn't have time to use it. I will definitely be staying again.

We had a great time at the Residence Le Prince Regent Spa, everything was absolutely fabulous and staff was very helpful and nice, rooms are lovely with nice modern decoration and modern equipments .... The spa is really wonderful : it's a modern space in an old cellar, we relax around the pool with a complimentary tea and enjoy hammam for free as guests ...Try it, it' s really a nice experience to be there !

“Excellent location makes up for many flaws”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2011

We stayed at Le Prince Regent for a weekend as part of a train (Eurostar) + Room package.
The apartment (a 2 BDR) was immaculate and well equipped. The beds are comfortable, the rooms are spacious, lots of storage space, functional kitchen.

However we encountered 3 major problems:

1) Our apartment (No3) was located on the first floor facing the street. On both Friday and Saturday, we were woken up by people shouting and speaking very loudly in the street. The hotel is located in a busy street and there's a bar which stays open quite late and is located right across the street.

2) There is a very strong smell of bleach from the swimming pool (located in the basement) which comes up into the apartment and is quite powerful. It really is a major issue.

3) The breakfast buffet is fine but unfortunately the breakfast room is located next to the swimming pool (and I really mean next to it)> Aside from being incredibly dangerous for small children, it feels really uncomfortable having breakfast in a very hot, steamy and bleachy atmosphere. So unless you're planning to have your breakfast in a swimsuit avoid the breakfast buffet. (This was aggravated by the fact that children are not accepted at the swimming pool - ever ! no family swim time at all) and having seen the swimming pool, they were really disappointed when they were told they could not use it.

So here's my recommendation: avoid Apartment 3 and in fact all the first floor apartments either above the swimming pool or facing the street. Also avoid the breakfast buffet.

Taking that into account, you will have a fantastic time!

E. Lloyd

the 4 of us (mum, dad, 12 and 14 yo) stayed 5 nights here in a 2BR (3 pieces). Excellent accommodation, clean, comfortable beds, quiet and very spacious. Location was great just near Jardin Du Lux, m d cluny, Odeon and St Michel. Walked everywhere to 1e for the Louvre and tuileries, m D'Orsay, Sainte chapelle/ notre dame; very close to all the gourmet shops of the 6e: la grande epicerie, pierre herme, kayser etc. Excellent service from hotel staff. great internet. Strongly recommended.
