Myself and 3 of my close girlfriends have just arrived back from an amazing weekend away together in Gay Paree. One of my friends boss's had advised us to stay at Hotel Amour so we went with the recommendation and booked 2 rooms a couple of months ago . Reading more into the hotel a couple of days before our trip and looking at all the reviews on Trip Advisor, I did become quite nervous and was considering changing our booking as the reviews and photos really do not do it justice. The website does not give a lot of information and the travellers photos make the hotel look a lot smaller and darker than it actually is. The hotel ended up being way better than we imagined and we have to thank my friends boss for her recommendation as it was exactly right for all of us. It is in a perfect location to hop on the metro ( Pigalle or Saint George ) to any of the major touristy attractions but the area that Amour is in itself is fantastic . Montmartre is a short stroll away where you can get lost in little cobbled streets , going into the various little boutiques , cafes and patisseries. If you do not want to go far for breakfast or coffee the hotel is situated on a street lined with amazing places to eat and drink . The staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helped us with booking taxis and reservations at restaurants, even running across the road personally to get something from another hotel for us. This is not just a 'hotel for lovers' , it is perfect for any age and any holiday maker who wants to stray away from the large hotel chains and discover a quirkier Paris. The rooms are all very different and very cool . At first I was taken aback by the very 'out-there' decor of our Japanese/Cartoon/Grafitti style room but I came around to loving it and will certainly always remember it ! The bed was extremely comfy and the room was a perfect size with a seperate large bathroom. All in all I would totally recommend this hotel for anyone venturing to Paris . The only negatives....... The restaurant downstairs is absolutely gorgeous but quite pricey and the rooms needed another mirror in the bedroom and a main light to brighten it up a bit.
Stay at Hotel Amour for a very memorable trip to Paris!
