“Thank You TripAdvisor Reviewers”

I booked four days at Jays for my wife and I on the strength of the reviews on TripAdvisor. I am certainly glad I did. This was the most perfect hotel experience we've ever had. It was like staying in the guest room suite of your friend's beautiful home. The staff here are what make this place so amazing. They anticipated any need we might have had, made restaurant recommendations within walking distance (don't miss Maree de Passy, a remarkable seafood restaurant) and reservations, printed maps for anywhere we wanted to go, and made coffee or tea or gave us glasses of champagne when we returned from our day's sightseeing. The location is terrific - just a few blocks from the Champs Elysee near the Arc de Triomphe and just across the river from the Eiffel Tower. It was delightful to be in quiet surroundings at night as our suite was set back from the street. We will certainly return. Thank you, Judy and staff, for a wonderful stay at Jays.

“A truly remarkable hotel experience! Staying in Paris will never be the same again.”

We arrived at Jays late on a Friday night to a delightful champagne welcome from the staff.

During our two night stay the service from the small team of staff was impeccable. They couldn't do enough to help; coming to meet us at the door, asking where we had been that day. They were so friendly, always courteous and genuinely delighted to help.

The hotel itself is a great conversion of a former parisian town house. Inside it is clean, light and spacious, with plenty left of the original buildings character. With only five rooms over two floors we found the hotel to be quiet and very private indeed.

The daily fruit dish is a nice touch as was the weather report delivered to our room each morning. The breakfast buffet was also a pleasant surprise, having read some other reviews I thought this might be a weak spot, but it was good, with more than enough for us to eat and drink.

Staying with Jays really elevated our Paris weekend break to a higher level. Ivan, Michel & Juan, thank you for making our stay so memorable. Judy, thank you for running such an amazing hotel! We will be back.

Matt & Rachel, London.

“Perfect Parisian Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My partner took me to Paris for 2 nights for my birthday and being my fourth visit to Paris this was by far the most amazing experience to be had. Everyone at Jays made our stay really special. All the positive reviews are spot on. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds are really comfortable, the staff are friendly and can't do enough and even though the hotel was fully booked we only saw one other guest very briefly. It is like you are returning to your own home after a day of sightseeing. For us personally it was centrally located without being overcrowded by tourists and we love to walk around a city so it was perfect for us to get around.

My birthday was really special, they had a little gift for me, they helped my partner organise beautiful roses for the room and all the restuarants we dined at were divine. Just to give you an idea of service we had booked a restaurant for my birthday. That evening Ivan (who was so lovely during our stay) mentioned a couple of previous guests had come back with a bad experience and if he could suggest another restaurant. We thought best to take his advice just in case and his recommendation was fabulous. They review and update their restaurant list all the time to ensure their guests are enjoying the best of Paris. There are so many options in Paris and it helps that they can narrow it down for you and that you are getting good quality.

They also arranged tickets for the Louvre and Eiffel Tower which was handy to avoid queues. Some people have said the breakfast is a bit light but I thought it was ample as when in Paris there is so much food to be enjoyed that you don't want to fill up on breakfast. Juan was a delightful host and made sure we had everything we needed to start our day.

I think as a first time visitor to Paris this would be the ideal place to stay as they make everything so easy for you and you really do feel special. Although the price is high end, if you can even stay one night at Jay's it will be an experience you will never forget. I don't think I could return to Paris and stay anywhere else. I was truly spoilt!

Room Tip: We stayed in Suite Fantasie which was a beautiful mixture of french and asian furniture. They also...

“A brilliant reason to return again to Paris”

JAYS Paris leading up to arrival is quite deceptive – it is many times better than expectations. It is truly a very elegant and sophisticated facility, a home from home, the best we have found in over thirty years of frequent travel.

It may not suit the infrequent traveller or those that prefer the artificial environment of a 3,000 passenger cruise ship or large 5-star hotels with perceived facilities to pamper those demanding attention.

JAYS has the subtle capability of meeting all requirements of frequent travellers accustomed to living away from home in style.

“Excellent and very different”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

Do not listen to the latest (French language) review (5th Jan by Hsien698) - they have clearly missed the point, this special place makes no pretence of being a five star hotel, it is something completely different, catering to a clientele who don't want the large palace hotel experience.  There would have been only one member of staff on as in the evening that is all that is required given there are only 5 rooms.  I have just spent 2 nights here with my wife.  The staff are very attentive from the moment they receive the booking; they recommended and booked restaurants for us in advance and always replied immediately to our e-mails.  The welcome and service once you arrive strikes the right balance between professional and personal and nothing is too much trouble. For example my wife forgot her mobile phone charger, and one of the staff brought her one in for her to borrow from his home. The rooms are astonishingly big for such a location, with bathrooms to match.  They are all individually decorated with a very comfortable bed and bedding.  The kitchenette is very useful with a microwave, kettle, mini- hob and basin, as well as cutlery, crockery and saucepans.  The bathroom is well stocked with Clarins and Hermes products, which you are encouraged to take away (including a full bottle of Hermes perfume!) Breakfast is served until a very civilised 12:00 (and in your room at no extra charge).  All in all, we would thoroughly recommend this little place.  We don't all want to stay in large hotels; one might almost think some reviewers have an agenda!
