“Not bad, but you can do better for less!”

My experience; It's clean. Small rooms. Nice bathroom. Plenty of towels. No fridge in the room. Beds are comfy (I'm 6'3"), but those square pillows (what are they even for?) BBC1, 2 and 3 on the room TV. Sexy little pool, small but OK fitness room (Concept Rower, 2 each Bikes and Treadmills, free towels, apples and chilled water). Nice little bar. Rubbish room service (selection, quality, service and price all unacceptable). Generally friendly though. The location is OK if you have reason to be in this part of town. Tram is nearby, Metro is 300m away. Don't bother with the local restaurants; especially the Versailles opposite. The best sushi value is the New Tokyaki, 300 m away. Otherwise walk up to Porte de Versailles, but be ready for price shock (€10 a pint of lager). There's a corner shop ( turn left out the front door and walk about 300m) which sells decent fruit, wine & beer, and biscuits! But what about that strange rumbling noise all night, like the lower deck of a cruise ship??? Recommendation: there are two Mercure Hotels very nearby, both of which have much nicer rooms, and you can usually get the same or better online rate. Personally I prefer the Mercure Vaugirard Porte de Versailles which is right outside the metro and tram stop with loads of bars, restaurants, and a supermarket within metres. On some weeks you can even get the 5* Pullman Rive Gauche for a similar rate.

“Relativelly small rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Fairly new hotel, not far from metro, relativelly small rooms (I hit on the bed corner three times during one night stay), very nice breakfast.

“Very poor should not be 4 star”

This is an interesting hotel, luxery suite 2 rooms + sitting area is actually 1 bedroom and 1 sofa bed totally unsuitable for 4 people, after an enormous dispute exchanged this for 2 standard rooms. The cost of these rooms are not cheap and they are very small. The bed is comfortable but no storage and also no tea and coffee facilities. You cannot get a coffee or tea until 4pm in the hotel (after a mediocre and expensive breakfast finishes at 10.30am). In room cinema on demand broken, ice machine on floor broken, ironing facilities (a room with 2 irons on timer) wiring faulty. Plus points is the location as very nice part of Paris but hotel should struggle to get 3 stars for this venue more hostel than hotel. Rooms as mentioned very small no mini bar or coffee facilities which is normally a universal standard. Worth looking for other hotels as pictures and reality flatter to deceive.

“Positive Surprise for a Paris Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 December 2011

Knowing the typical Paris Hotels usually a trip to Paris is downsized by the low quality Hotels available in the city. Oceania Paris was a pleasant surprise!
The room was clean and big enough, internet was working, breakfast was more then typical croissant and butter.
Will surely come again!

“Good hotel but off center and deceived by the spa”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 November 2011

Very small but comfortable rooms. Very good mattress. Nice bathroom but only on set of towels for two people. We were disappointed by the spa: the jacuzzi is integrated in the pool and therefore is not at a normal temperature for a jacuzzi (colder of course - even if the pool is a very nice temperature, it not warm enough to relax without swimming)... We went there for the jacuzzi (so you can imagine our deception)... Only two chairs to lie around the pool... Bathrobes normally only available for upper class rooms... The staff is very nice but the service is not always what it should: one of us had forgotten a toothbrush and was told to get down to the reception (in the services folder, it was mentioned that they would bring it to you). The hotel is a bit off center but not far from a metro station and the tram... There are snacks and drinks vendor machines in the lobby, which can be very handy... There is a nice brasserie just opposite the hotel "Le Versailles" with very nice staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a garden view to have less noise
