If you are traveling to Paris on a budget, this is a decent place to stay. There are many establishments that call themselves hotels that should actually be classified as hostels, this is one of those establishments.
Minimal blankets and no extra pillows (one long, thin pillow on the bed). Saw a mouse run across our room at one point. No toilets in the rooms, they are in the sprial stairway. Keys are left at the front desk when you leave and some of the front desk clerks do not speak English. It helps to be able to speak French in France! No elevator.
The hostel is close to the Pompidou Center and near Notre Dame as well. There are a few Metro stations within a close walk. A lot of shopping and dining close to the hotel as well as a few seedy places of business. You can leave you bags at the front desk when you check out to pick up later.
Good hostel for backpackers or young couples on a tight budget. I will look a little harder for something a little nicer the next time I'm in Paris.
