“Amazing view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

We stayed in a superior room in the 23rd floor with a tower view, queen size bed.
The good things first. The view is breathtaking, I couldn't see any other high buildings that could have a similar view or any view at all. The superior room was definitively good, very clean and tidy, and the hotel staff were absolutely friendly. The location is handy, 5 min walk to the underground and train, 30 min to gare du nord. You also get a good view of the Arc du Triumph and La Defense from the roundabout next to the underground.
The negative side, as we went in winter on our return to the hotel we couldn't have a hot drink because there weren't coffe making facilities in our room and to order a tea was 9 euro plus 5 euro room service charge. Breakfast is definitively expensive. The queen size bed was actually two single beds put together and two single duvets. The neighbourhood is not lively.

Room Tip: Superior rooms facing the tower are very good, but get hot during the day.

“A Bit Dated, But a Nice Option”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

This is a huge hotel located in the heart of Paris. The towering design offers great views of the city from every angle. Plenty of dining and shopping options close by. (The hotel is actually connected to a mall, and Metro stop.) Friendly staff, many of whom speak English.

The rooms are about as large as big city rooms get. Stylish decor but somewhat dated drapes and carpet. The rooms and lobby areas are well maintained.

I'll use this hotel again.

“A great place to see Paris”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We stayed at this hotel for a long weekend in February 2012. The lobby is buzzing with people with a bar situated to the side. We never ate or drank in the hotel as there is just too much to see in Paris to be hanging around a hotel. The staff at check in are extremely friendly and happily assisted with directions and restaurant bookings etc. I appreciate what other reviews said about the rooms needing updating but that needs to be balanced with the other more positive features about staying in this hotel. The rooms themselves are very clean and the shower is the best i have ever experienced in a hotel for power! The bed was not the most comfortable I have slept in but it wasn't the worst. It was very cold in February and thankfully the rooms were kept warm all day and night. I dodn't care about silly things like that because of the exceptional view from the window. Try and get a room on the Eiffel Tower side, it is just spectacular!

We went to the panoramic bar on the 33rd floor. Drinks are really limited to cocktails and are around 21 euro (or 19 for a virgin cocktail). Although this is a rip off, the drinks were very good and the whole experience of looking out over the city of Paris was worth it!

Location if this hotel was just great. We actually walked to the Eiffel Tower and Arc and this made it an easy way to see the entire city on foot. It is just off the beaten track enough to mean the prices nearby are a bit lower than those beside the main attractions. There were plenty of bars, restaurants and Patisseries in the area so I wouldn't bother booking breakfast at the hotel.

My wifi worked perfectly in the room. I have read bad reviews about orices in this hotel. Paris is the most expensive city I have been to so you can't hold that personally against the hotel! You need to walk around and look for better value places if that concerns you.

Room Tip: Get a view on a high floor overlooking Eiffel Tower

“great views but far too hot”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

Hotel is right next door to the conference centre, where i was having a meeting. Hotel is quite old looking and not that beautiful.

My room had a great view from the 23rd floor. However it was really hot. the aircon didnt work; I put it down to the minimum but the room never cooled down for my whole stay. i slept with the window open during the nigh (-6c outside) to cool the room down.

The internet is good though. Wifi is free and you can have at least two connections per room as i had my PC and phone hooked up.

Breakfast okay. Nothing too fancy but good orange juice and bread and cakes

Room Tip: get one facing towards the Eiffel tower

Staff are friendly eough but dont realy seem to give a damn.
The hotel is just too big. tired and busy to having a caring attitude,
