“Good for short business trips”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Have been there twice. It's okay for business trips. Would not stay there for holydays. Do not expect to find rooms as displayed on internet. Reality is much less glamourous. The hotel in general is quite oldish. Breakfast is really disappointing. Better go and have it outside. Location is very good, but once again for tourism chose other districts like Saint Germain or Marais.

“Loved it!”

The hotel was as quaint as the online pictures. The view from our window was exactly as shown. What a joy to look out and see the Arch d'Triumph with the Eiffel Tower in the distance. A stone's throw from the metro and the bus stop that made continuous runs to the airport. Restaurants that we loved within a short walking distance. The real joy was the front desk staff both day and night. There was no question unanswered, no request unfulfilled. Returning to the hotel after a long day of sightseeing was like coming home. From the moment you walk in the door you feel like you're really in Paris. Would stay again in a hearbeat and have already recommended it to friends traveling in the spring.

Room Tip: for the view, ask for one of the front rooms on one of the higher floors

“A lovely place with a true sense of Paris.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

Really nice people and cozy rooms.
Great atmosphere and perfect location for exploring Paris.
30 meters from a subway entrance, and 50meters from a busstop with nonstop coaches that leaves for the airports every 15 min.

200 meters from the Arc de Triophe, and from the rooms on the top floors you can see both the Arc and the Eiffel tower clearly. A classic view of Paris.
Easy to navigate around the hotel when you always can find your way
back due to the central location.

Good english and as I said really nice people working there.
Great coffee and wonderful beds, low traffic, no disturbances.

Real keys...no floppy-plasic-thing...Classic.

“Good for short term business travel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 October 2011

I have been staying in this hotel since 2007- (four years as of this month) I only stay here for business trips- and am always in a room by myself. I stay here because it is easy access to La Defense business district- (5 minute RER train ride – approx. 10 minutes total to get there) To get to this hotel from the airport takes me approx. 30 minutes on the Air France Bus – dropped off approx. 50 meters from the hotel. Metro entrance is practically at the front of the hotel. The hotel is right beside the Arc de Triumphe. Tons of restuarants and stores close by because you are on the Champs- Elysees. The front desk staff is typically good- however I have had some reservation issues in the past- all have resolved without me having to move to a different hotel. Be careful about booking rooms above the 5th floor- they can be VERY small. This is an old hotel. It has always been clean. I have never encountered any bugs. For those with allergies- I have encountered some extremely overly perfumed rooms- over all they have been normally scented for a Paris hotel. They have free internet- and if it is too slow you can pay for a faster speed. There is a flat screen tv. in the room- but not necessarily in a good position to view from the bed. Just depends on the room. I have never stayed in a room with anything bigger than an Full size bed and they are okay- not the most comfortable. The electric plugs may not be easily accessible- depends on your room. So if you have anything important like a nebulizer or a sleep apnea machine that must be plugged in you might have to purchase an extension cord from a local store. Bathrooms can be very small. I cannot stress this enough. One time I was given a room with a bathroom that was soo small that I almost didn't fit on the toilet and I could not shut the door and be in the bathroom at the same time. (I am a regular size individual- so someone who is excessively tall or heavy would not have fit into this bathroom- nor would a pregnant woman) They offer a bread, yogurt, and cheese breakfast- and it is NOT free. I recommend going just down the street to the bakery- more variety and cheaper. I have had my clothes laundered here – it has been fine- however it is extremely expensive. The dress shirts came back looking like I had just bought them at a department store- they were folded and pinned and enclosed in plastic. I couldn't believe it. The A/C is not great. It is typical for the area though- good luck finding anthing better. If it is hot you may have to go to a local store and buy a fan for your room. The reason you would chose this hotel is for the location and for the fact that it is clean. It is not posh by any means and the staff is NOT going to go above and beyond. However, if you are just looking for a clean bed to sleep in with a central location then this is a great place for you. I would not recommend this as a family hotel due to the size of all of the rooms that I have stayed in over the past four years- a regular room is a tight squeeze for me so adding extra people in the room would be too much to be enjoyed. I have had them hold my bags for me on more than one occasion while I went out of town for a few days and then returned to the hotel- nothing was taken from my bag and I felt comfortable leaving it there. Over all- this is not a bad place to stay- that is why I continue to return there. Once again- I stress the fact that I am a business traveler who is alone in the room- having other people in the room would be a tight squeeze.
