After writing a review in 2007 for all the right reasons it is unfortunate that for our stay in 2011 this review is at the opposite end of the scale. This time the service from M. Corbel and his night time receptionist was terrible, whereas in 2007 it was excellent. We will not stay there again. Our advice is find some where else rather than suffer the misfortune of staying here
There are a number of examples of the poor service encountered during our stay on this occasion, however the following two incidents stand out:
La Poste attempted to deliver a GPS to reception for us to collect on arrival - the receptionist had confirmed to me they would sign on our behalf. Upon arrival M Corbel was able to confirm he was aware of the arrangement. Did he know why it wasn't signed for? No. Did he care? Not in the slightest - it was our problem. (Fortunately Zintech came to our rescure. Andy, you are a diamond.)
The second problem was a missed early morning wake up call, resulting in us being too late to catch the TGV to Bordeaux, and incuring additional costs to re-book our seats. The attitude of the receptionist, "Too bad." Which is an accurate description of Hotel Little Regina's service quality.

We arrived late in Paris Gare du Nord with two children and lots of luggage; walked less than ten minutes, and found the hotel with no difficulty. Friendly service, small lift, top floor, small rooms but plenty big enough for our needs; two rooms next to each other, two windows onto busy Paris junction by Gare de l'Est (yards away) - noisy overnight with the windows open but great! Really clean rooms, sheets, and spotlessly clean new ensuite with great showers in each room- friendly guy also gave us cold water and juice from downstairs as we were really thirsty. Didn't stay for breakfast, so can't comment - but great location, very clean, and friendly service. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. :)

The room itself was all right but we found the owner extremely aggressive unpleasant when we tried to cancel the last 2 nights out of 5 when we had to change our plans.

Hardly a little gem in what is quite a "mixed bag" area of Paris with some seedy places and the odd touch of class in the Gare de l'Est precinct. The hotel was undergoing renovations and this made staying in to work impossible. I had a very basic room although friends fared much better with a top floor, renovated room. My room was tiny but had a desk and a comfortable bed. The toilet ran water constantly and the step-up shower was downright dangerous - slippery and extremely challenging to use with a tap protruding into an already miniscule shower space. The hotel offered free wifi but it was often "down" and of no use. The area offers a range of eateries from expensive to good value and in a sense offered an escape from the hotel. Staff were reasonably pleasant, however, this will be a never-repeated experience.
