“Very good apartment in excellent location”

I wanted a small affordable apartment for myself, my 2 teenagers and my 8 yr old. I had visited the area before and loved the cemetery. Our apartment was very clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and efficient. The location, 2 mins from the Phillipe Auguste metro station was ideal - anywhere in Paris was very accessible but we were not in a tourist hotspot. I preferred this as some parts of Paris can be a bit full on and I wouldn't have wanted to stay in them. There is a bakery and supermarket next to the metro station and 5-10 minutes away there is a busy road with lots of restaurants, shops and a nice park.

The beds were comfortable, although i would have personally preferred a double and 2 singles but this was not an option. The apartment was pretty spacious. Soap and toilet paper is not replenished and I did think this was a bit disappointing. The kitchen was adequate for breakfast and lunch but I think we would have struggled to cook a full meal. There was a microwave and 2 rings but no kettle. Paris is expensive - especially considering the poor exchange rate - as such I think the price of this hotel is quite fair but not cheap. I would return again if i wanted to visit Paris again and I would recommend these apartments to others.

“Location only savouir”

Despite prior good reviews we did not enjoy our stay due to the uncleanliness and unfriendliness of staff.

Room was supposed to be cleaned we were advised on check in, we stayed for two days and no-one came to clean the room and we had to buy our own toilet paper as we ran out.

There were a couple of different young girls on the desk who were dis-interested, each morning we had breakfast which we paid 7 euros for one would peek her head around and ask for our room number, given this was a security building why would we sneak in and have breakfast?

There was a really nice outlook to the Pere Lachaise cemetery and the place was really close to the metro, we checked out and we subsequently chages two streets away to pay for a phone call which the receptionist forgot to tell us about when we checked out despite being given a receipt for the balance which did not include the phone call.

Blankets were covered in hairs and the top floor was noisy.

Maybe the place has been taken over since the good reviews, would not stay here again. Sorry.

“Pretty Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2009

My mother, wife, and I stayed here in December. The bedroom featured a standard double bed and the sofa in a separate living room converted to a double bed. The room also featured a desk with free wi-fi and a dining room table. There was a kitchenette as well with a refrigerator, microwave, and a few dishes. The room overall was very clean and much bigger than I expected for Paris. Parking was available very near the hotel for 11.50 Euros per day. The breakfast (7.50 Euros per day) was okay. It certainly did not feature the most options I have ever had but we were able to get our fill. We really never had a housekeeping service and did not get new towels during the duration of our three day stay. Also we had dishes but with no housekeeping and no soap there was no way to clean them. It was very close to the Phillipe Auguste metro stop, less than a 5 minute walk. However, any of the hot tourists spots are a little ways away from this location. The Eiffel Tower for example is about a 45 minute subway ride, and the Louvre is about 20 mins away. This area is also not a "tourist" area. While there are a few grocery stores within walking distance and several places to eat, most do not speak English in this area. Lastly, the walls were pretty thin and considering our room was right next to reception we could hear all the conversations to be had there. Overall, for 120 Euros per night I thought the hotel met our needs very well. The staff could have been a little friendlier and it would have been nice to have housekeeping but I thought we got good value, especially looking at other hotel pricing options.

“Still a good clean basic aparthotel”

We returned to this hotel this year with friends, hoping that it had not deteriorated, (as things often do when you have praised them to other people). It hadn't. In fact they have been upgraded. The staff are very friendly and helpful and did their best to put right any little niggles that are bound to crop up - (stuff like not enough towels and other small stuff) and they did it with a smile! The location is good - right next door to Pere Lachaise cemetery - so the neighbours are quiet! (its a residential area) There is a boulangerie about 50 yards away and a couple of supermarkets just a tiny bit further. There is a market every wednesday and Saturday just up the road. Each room has a cooking area and fridge, which are all very well equipped. Just remember to bring washing up liquid etc as they expect you to keep this area clean, otherwise they fine you! The rest of the room is just as any other hotel room, with the beds being made and towels replaced every day. We cannot vouch for the breakfast as we did our own. Our friends were very impressed and have said they will be back with others, as will we. All we have to do now is to stop the museum staff in Paris going on strike when we visit ...

“Okay for the price”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2009

Acceptable cleanliness once you get used to it. Matress wasn't comfortable. It is bit out of the way but easily accessible by metro from the airport. and bus 69 leads you directly to the main tourist attractions. However, they would not accomodate an early arrival other than keeping our luggage. Very difficult after an international flight.
