We stayed in a small apartment that has one bedroom, a small living area with a sofa bed, a tiny kitchen with fridge. Bathroom is well equipped, enough towels for 4 of us. Our room was 201 which look out to Père Lachaise Cemetery, unusual for a room view but it’s not uncomfortable. Room was clean. But walls are thin. The bedroom was not big, could barely open our suitcases inside, it did have a safe. The living room has a small TV and small dining table for 2.
Staff was friendly. We left our luggage with them before check-in but they do not have a luggage room, the staff will keep an eye for you. The hotel provides free WiFi, need to get password from the front desk. Lift is small.
There’s a small convenience store across the main street where you can buy some bread, bottled water, fruits and etc. Shops do close early in Europe. It’s a quiet neighborhood (half of it being cemetery), there are some small café around the corner for simple breakfast. Need to go further for restaurants and bar. This is not “tourist” area; hot spots like Eiffel Tower, Norte-Dame are far away.
Phillipe Auguste metro station was just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel, from there you can access to any part of Paris with the tube but need to change line. Problem with Paris Metro is they do not have escalator or lift, only stairs. It’s a big problem to carry / haul luggage up and down those stairs during changing tube line and upon reaching the station; and the hotel is on a slight slope. I didn’t find the hotel location to be that accessible and friendly. Ok if you like quiet neighborhood. I would opt for hotel that’s nearer to hot spots and more amenities next time.
Room Tip: Don't get room same floor as the Reception area
