Locations is really all this hotel has to recommend plus free internet. the problem is some rooms have been recently redone and are quite nice; others are just like a one-star--really awful--not so much dirty as rugs wornand badly stained, paint peeling, walls all scuffed up----room gives you the creeps. and you never know which kind of room is available. we had both. and both are way overpriced. Staff is terrible. very unfriendly and not at all willing to give out any info. like name of a good restaurant nearby, etc. they made us walk four long blocks to an internet cafe to print out boarding passes. also, they totally misinformed us re ordering a taxi and we had to pay 20 extra euros in addition to the actual cost of the ride just for ordering one.

Have been on the road for the past 4 weeks starting in Paris then Switzerland, Italy and now back to Pairs. This Hotel is without doubt overpriced and second rate and does not reflect the overall standard set by others in Europe for a similar price. The room stituated on the first level is dirty and not at all presented as described. The curtains do not appear to have been washed from the day they were hung, the room furniture would be better suited to a garage sale or trash and treasure as it is well worn and showing signs of falling apart. Our room bears no resemblance to anything shown on the internet site, good photography or very good air brush techinique makes this place look splendid, far from it!!!
This place would make a sub standard back pakers lodging look like the Ritz. Good luck if you make the choice.

I stayed at Hotel Choiseul Opera for 8 days and had an incredible experience. The carpets were new, the beds were impecably clean and comfortable, the rain shower and towel warmer was a treat that totally spoiled me, and one has control of room temperature. As for the staff, they were super corteous and always had a smile. Of course, nothing could beat the incredible location in a safe, bustling neighbourhoof, two blocks away from the Louvre and the Opera Paris, and withing walking distance of great shops, attractions, and good restaurantes. When I go to Paris again, this is my place to stay. I recommend big time.

I went there with my Partner for a break, this Hotel could not be better, spotlesly clean, as with most hotels in Paris it is compact, I will consider going there again,
