“It was decent. You can't expect too much from a Paris hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2011

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was pretty good. There wasn't anything special about it. The 'kitchenette' described on booking.com was actually a small little thing inside the closet. There was no closet space other than the little fridge/burners. The room was very unimpressive and the carpets were stained.

We were very close to the Arc de Triomphe, the Metro, and a pretty cheap buffet restaurant. We were close to a few Embassy's but beware- at night they turn into a prostitute pick up and drop off. We felt relatively safe and the front desk girl was from Canada so we had a great relationship with her.

This was our one and only time in Paris so I am assuming we got what we paid for.

“The Hotel is unsafe - I was robbed inside the room”

The Hotel is not actually a hotel, it does not have a full time reception, rather it is open only a few hours per day. I left my laptop in my room and left for work, when I return to the room my backpack and laptop was stolen from inside the room.... The door was not broken. Nevertheless all the material was stolen... Which means that the doors are not secure enough and since the reception is not open 24h a day, the overall building is not secure...
I will not stay is this hotel any more.....

“NOT a safe hotel!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2008

We stayed at this hotel last year and had pretty good experience due to its excellent location. This time it was terrible because our room was ransacked on the second night (a Saturday) of our stay while we were out for dinner. Our losses were very substantial - they stole all the handbags that we had just purchased at luxury stores in addition to many valuable personal items.

Since there was no one at the front desk at night, we could not get anyone to help us. I called their "emergency" number. The person who answered the phone obviously was not trained to handle this kind of emergency. He gave us a number to call the police, who could not understand English and just hung up the phone. Believe me, it was a really sickening feeling when you didn’t know who to call or what to do in the middle of the night in a foreign country. The next morning we reported the theft to the hotel staff and found out two other rooms were also ransacked, but their losses were much smaller than ours.

It took us 2 trips to the police station to file a police report - the first time they gave us the wrong form to fill out, so we had to go back the next day and waited in line in the cold for 90 minutes. A lot of time was wasted because of the theft, not to mention it totally ruined our vacation. Gone forever were also the pictures in the stolen camera and laptop.

This hotel is NOT SAFE. Obviously the "thieves" could enter any room at will because there were no signs of forced entry. I don't believe our room was randomly chosen; how they were able to pick the right target makes me very suspicious. I will definitely not recommend this hotel unless there’s someone on site 24x7. They also need to upgrade the locks and key cards (they still use the big plastic one with holes in it) so they can’t be easily compromised.

“Not So Good”

We stayed at the this Hotel/ Apartment for 3 nights. We had a total of 3 rooms. I would not stay here again. This isn't a Hotel, is like a apartment rental. The staff is only there till 5:00pm and after that they lock the outside doors, they do give you a code to get in if you go out at night, but forget it if you need anything else after 5:00pm. All 3 rooms had mold in the tub shower, one of the blow dryers didn't work, one of the toilets stopped flushing and one of the showers sprung a leak when turned on and flooded the floor.
One room was on the top floor and did have a great view but the rest didn't have a view at all.

  • Liked — View but only from the top floor
  • Disliked — too much to write
