I stayed 2 nights here, and the location is great. The hotel is on a quiet little side street on the edge of the Marais district, and the Arts et Metiers metro station is only a stone's throw away. The hotel isn't trendy or chic, but it has a fun and funky vibe. The staff were OK - at least they spoke enough English to help me out (my French is horrible). You leave your key with them whenever you leave, but the desk is manned 24/7. My room on the 3rd floor was very clean and quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. There's an American electrical outlet in the bathroom, which charged my iPhone just fine without an adapter. Even in November it was fairly warm in Paris, so I opened the large casement window and let in a nice breeze. I didn't eat breakfast there, so I can't report on that. The only caution: The staircase is a dizzy spiral (see my photo) and wouldn't be good for those with limited mobility. Also don't drink too much wine at dinner and try to navigate it!!

Hotel Ecole Centrale in the centre of Paris is happy to welcoming guests from all countries in the world and our reception staff is speaking english to inform you 24 hours a day and 365 days a year about the hotel, the Marais area and Paris.
Our rooms are very clean and new decorated again in december 2011.
More than stairs, we have an elevator to join the rooms.
We are looking forward to welcoming you again in our hotel.
