This was a change for me, a person who usually stays in 4 or 5 star hotels... We were on a 5+ week tour of the Middle East, Europe and Thailand... This time around we thought it would be better to spend our money out and about doing things and not on a hotel room that we were only going to sleep in... And sleep is all we did there after hours of walking each day around Paris..!
So, with that put into perspective... The hotel is in an excellent location... Not to far from Gare du Nord which is your link to CDG Airport... It is also located between 2 Metro Station... Near the hotel as you go right out the door you will find a small supermarket... A little further down you will find a laundromat which can be useful if on a long trip... There are also many small cafes and bakeries in this area which is a good breakfast source... If you go right out the hotel and take your first right... This will take you to "Bassin de la Villette" a typical European canal and an excellent place to walk around..!
This hotel gets a "very good" from me because it served its purpose perfectly... The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful... The bathroom was quite interesting... It was this plastic module that you steeped up and into... Somewhat reminds me of a capsule hotel in Tokyo or even your own little space ship that is really a toilet and shower..! This would be a great room if you have a kid as you get a double bed on the bottom and a twin bunk above it... So, at 42 Euro a night it was perfect..!
