My wife and I wanted to spend some day in Paris and we try to get the best deal for the money. I booked this hotel using the Eurostar booking system 2 months before the trip. The hotel itself is very good, it seemed to me that i was recently refurbished because most of the stuff look pretty new, My wife was very happy with the mattress and even more the bathroom. The bathroom clean and plenty of space. We had a Flat screen TV. The rooms is very comfortable and we had breakfast which was an added value to our trip. The hotel was more to sleep and rest after long day during tourism in Paris. The hotel is very close to the Charonne Metro station and it will only take 20 minutes to the main Paris attraction. Some people would say it is a bit far, but we walked to the Bastille roundabout and to Le Marais district in a few minutes. The area is plenty of food shops around so if you fell hungry you can buy fruits. Also there are lot, lots of drugs stores which was very handy for us. The receptionists spoke perfect English and it is open 24/7. they gave us a very useful map of Paris and they were very kind explaining us how to move around. so in conclusion you can not go wrong with this hotel, is good values for the money.

We stayed here for three nights last week in a double room on the 3rd floor, overlooking the small terrace at the rear of the hotel. It was easy to find from the nearest tube station (Charonne), which is literally 2 minutes away. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the room, whilst not the most modern in style, was more than adequate. We thought the half size wardrobe was a bit on the small side between the two of us, but as we only stayed a few days it wasn't a problem.
The bed was comfortable and we heard no noise from other guests or from outside until a reasonable hour. Breakfast was quite basic: croissants, bread, cooked meats, cheeses, cereal, yoghurt and fresh fruit salad. However, plenty to fill you up until lunch.
The area close to the hotel and the Rue de Charonne itself (towards the Bastille) is a lively area with lots of bars/restaurants, bakeries etc. Importantly for us, it also felt very safe and we were happy to stroll back to the hotel after a night out.

The Classics Hotel Bastille is not particularly fancy or luxurious. It is, however, clean and well maintained, and has some of the friendliest and most welcoming staff I've ever met at any hotel. And it seems like it's not one particular person or another; it's each and every person that I met at the reception over the course of my week long stay. We got some very nice restaurant recommendations from them, as well as some free snacks at the middle of the night when we came in after all the restaurants were already closed.

Taking into account the fair pricing, this hotel has a very high value to cost. The location is excellent, with a neighborhood full of restaurants and bistros, but far enough from the tourist attractions to be populated mostly by locals. There is a metro station right outside the door, so the center of town is a few minutes away by train.

We chose the hotel at random, as the situation suited us, it was close to a Metro station as well as being within walking distance of a couple of our aims. We were immediately pleased with the friendly, chatty style of the hotel staff who made us feel comfortable.
