We visited Le Walt in 2009 and liked it, so we returned last weekend with friends for a special occasion. It is ideally situated, right next to Ecole Militaire metro. Within a couple of minutes walk you can be at the end of the Champs de Mar and enjoy a 10 minute stroll through the gardens to the Eiffel Tower.

The hotel is clean and comfortable but what really stands out are the staff. They are all really charming and helpful. They speak many different languages, and kindly tolerated my rusty French!
Our room was on the ground floor in the courtyard. The courtyard is a little haven and very peaceful. We did find though that we could hear (and feel!) the metro rumbling underneath us. We quite liked it but if you are a light sleeper, avoid the ground floor!

We had a misunderstanding with our bill, as we were charged for our friend's room and vice versa, which we didn't realise until returning home. Within a couple of days, this was sorted and we were kindly refunded.

We would recommend the restaurant next door, Comptoir du Sept, really lovely food and staff and cool decor. We had a fantastic breakfast at Cafe Central on Rue Cler nearby.

We will definitely return to Le Walt, and would recommend it for location, cleanliness and friendliness.
