I found this hotel as a great value through American Express travel while booking my trip to Paris. I am really surprised that Amex would associate their name with a place like this.
These guys are a total misrepresentation, the sad part is that once you are there... there is nothing you can do and they know it, because they already have your money - so basically you're screwed -
The front desk staff is with one exception rude and not interested in helping you at all.
For example, they promote themselves as having wifi in the hotel but they don't and when I complained they were like - sucks for you pal... your options are the internet cafe down the street - or pay us 15 euro for a couple of hours of internet access -
I was on vacation but still had to file some reports with my company occassionally, and when it is 20 degrees out and you have returned from walking around the city in subzero temperatures, the least thing you want to do is lug your laptop at midnight to an allnight cafe - And 15 euros for a couple hours of internet !!!! they must be crazy!
but their attitude was - tought luck buddy - you can't do anything.
Also when the made left our door open, I mean propped open with the deadbolt and we went to the front desk to inform them upon our return to the room, the front desk lady was completely uninterested, she looked at us and simply shrugged her shoulders.
I told her that this was unacceptable since we have valuables in the room, not to mention personal effects, and she completely ignored us and pick up the phone to make a phone call, effectively leaving us talking to ourselves.
The rooms are small and the bathrooms are ridiculously uncomfortable..
.I have been traveling to Europe for over 20 years and have stayed in my share of hotels but placing a toilet 5 inches from the wall is simply ridiculous - you have to be a contortionist and be able to do a full split to sit on the toilet .
Since we booked the complete package through Amex, there was really not much we could do so we had to grin and bare it - but we still went around the area checking out similar hotels and asked to see the rooms- we encountered much better front desk service and more comfortable rooms -
We now have a good idea of where we are going to stay when we return to Paris- but if we can sway at least one person and prevent them from making the mistake we made - We have had excercised our right to voice and share our opinion -
My recommedation to you is this: You work too hard for your money- Don't give it away to a place like this that is clearly not not interested in providing the service they misrepresent.
