I have just came back from the hotel today and i warn to anyone who stays there that they should look out for bed bugs! i am now full of a rash and bites. The hotel was really not clean and the bedding was awful. Would not advise anyone to stay. No free wireless.

I had made a reservation for 8 nights and as soon as we got there I started looking for a different hotel! The online advertisement didn't really reflect what it looked like. The hotel was dirty, the room didn't look anything like what I had seen on the website, they didn't have pillow cases for their pillows (they were rolled in a sheet). As soon as you step outside the hotel, it looks like your in the ghetto! We had to spend one night there before we could go to our next hotel and we hated it! Big mistake to go there! The staff appearance is not very professional either.

Dirty, unfriendly, disgusting place. I did not know carpet in a hotel could be so dirty. Upon arrival after an 8 hour drive from Munich with two couples, the front desk person showed us a piece of paper stating that one of our reservations had been cancelled and re-booked for one person. He said he could not let a couple sleep in the room reserved for one person unless we paid extra. We were left with not choice but to pay an extra 50 Euro. I again cannot tell you how dirty this hotel was. I have never seen carpeting literally covered in human hair. The bathrooms were lightly wiped down leaving hair and fluids smeared on all of the surfaces.

To top it all off, on the last night of our 3 terrible nights in this place, our bathroom mirror fell off the wall in the middle of night shattering all over the floor and exploding out into the bed area scaring the c#@$! out of us. They refused to give us another room to sleep in and did not offer to clean up the glass. Instead, they gave us a key to a room on the next floor up but we were only allowed to use the bathroom.

I would rather sleep on the trains.

Stayed at Hotel Liege from 1-3 May 2010. Travelled with a group of 7, 4 adults and 3 children. We had made two reservations but only one was on the hotel system. This wasn't much of a problem as we were given another room which was on a different level. We asked for a 4-bed room and got 3 single beds. There was another bed folded up but the room was too small to put it out, so we just left it and managed.
The rooms were clean, with clean bed linen. The bath towels were small but we had our own. There was some damp on the lower parts of the walls in one of our rooms but apart from that I thought it was ok. The lift can hold 3 adults comfortably. Breakfast is coffee/hot chocolate and croissants/rolls.
Safety was a concern due to the tight staircasing and the bannister was a bit wobbly. The entrance doors to the rooms were very near the staircase so you have to be careful.
I would recommend the hotel for a very short stay, to rest your head but nothing else. It is near to the Gare du Nord and Gare L'East stations (10 mins walk) and close to the metro with plenty of shops and restaurants fairly close. Outside the hotel you will probably get approached by a few guys asking if you want your hair or nails done but they don't hassle you if you tell them no politely.
