“Great Stay in the Superior Double”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Booked the superior double which was very comfortable. Newly renovated, large bathroom and quiet (overlooks the courtyard at the back rather than the street). Rate included breakfast which was a standard French small buffet. Wifi was good and room was clean.

Location is great, very close to 2 train lines, walk to Mont Martre and a longer walk to the Opera area with Gelleries lafayette. They looked after our bags before and after check-in/check-out. There are some supermarkets near the hotel as well as lots of restaurants.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again because of the good location and relatively good value for Paris. I would choose the superior double rooms as the others look a bit tired.

Room Tip: Book a superior suite as they are on the quiet side of the building and newly renovated.

Dear Estimated Guest,
Thank you for your commentary. We are very happy to know that you have spend a good stay in the France Albion Hotel. Regarding the rooms, I just want to precise that we are at the beginning of some works to renoved all our rooms. The first type of room renoved is the Superior Double Room and we will continue with another type of room next year. However, all our rooms have the same equipment and service.
We hope to receive you again.
Best Regards

“Good, practical hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 February 2012

Me and my friend stayed here 4-8th Feb 2012. The room, even though very small, was warm and comfortable. Bathroom had powerful shower and was clean. As long as you don't pay too much attention to details you are fine in this hotel. There are 2 different underground lines (cadet and lorette de notre dame) less than 5 min walk. Plenty of restaurants and supermarkets around - there is a carrefour city across the road. You can also walk to Moulin Rouge, Sacre Coeur and to Gare du Nord (connection for airport link). The one thing that annoyed me was the smell of food in the bedroom first thing in the morning... not enough ventilation in kitchen downstairs??
So: perfect location, clean enough, quiet enough. NOT a romantic hotel, this is a good practical place to stay for a short break in Paris.

This is a nice hotel, only around ten minutes from the Eurostar terminal. The rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfasts good. The staff were bilingual and extremely helpful. A pleasant stay.

“Great Hotel, more like 3 star!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

This hotel was perfect for a three night stay in Paris. We didnt spend too much time here as there is so much to do and see in Paris. The breakfast was great and was down to E9 when we were there. I was quite scepticle about going to a 2 star in Paris when you hear how small the rooms can be but the room was big enough for our needs. The bed was comfortable, you could control your own heat and there was a great shower and bath with plenty of hot water. Can be bit noisy if overlooking street which we were so bring earplugs. Staff in reception were more than helpful and always pleasant, would definetly stay here again. Deserves 3 stars.

Room Tip: Rooms are quieter to the back but you may be beside lift then too which maybe noisy?

“Clean rooms, friendly and conscientious Staff, and a fantastic location, make this Hotel a perfect choice :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Having made the decision to explore the wonders of Paris for my 31st Birthday my girlfriend and I decided to book Hotel France Albion for four nights, based on the overwhelming amount of top quality reviews, the size and appearance of the rooms, and the apparent low cost (Approx €260) compared to that of other hotels nearby.

I arrived on Friday 13th January where we were greeted by two very friendly female staff members who efficiently booked us in, providing relevant details, and showing us our way to our room. Having used the lift up to the 4th floor, we managed to locate our room (No:44). On entering the room we were greeted by a spacious room (by Paris standards), complete with a comfortable double bed, adequate sized wardrobe, desk, flat screen T.V (99% French channels) and an en-suite bathroom, which had good facilities including hairdryer and the usual toiletries of soap, shower gel, shower caps etc... The room was located at the front of the Hotel, overlooking the main road, which meant that there was a bit of noise from deliveries/waste collection vans early in the morning, however this didn't seem to last for long.

The hotel itself couldn't have been located in a better place, with the nearest Metro being Saint Georges, which was located a few minutes walk up the road. Along that same road there were a number of very good little cafe/bistros, and if you walked an extra 10 minutes further you would reach the famous Moulin Rouge and from there the excellent area of Montmarte.

If I was to return to Paris any time soon then this hotel would be the only place I would consider going to. It was very clean, with friendly staff who were conscientious throughout, and more than worth the money that was paid.
