Just 5 mins walk from Gare du Nord, which was perfect, as any closer and it gets a bit rough, but this was just fine. We walked absolutely everywhere - in 3 days we only got the metro once and no taxis! We walked to the Louvre within 25 mins, the champs elysee within 40 mins, and spent a lot of time in the fabulous area of Monmartre, which is just 10 mins walk away!
The hotel itself is opposite a large church Vincent de Paul, and it was so lovely having a coffee at the restaurant next door (which is excellent) with this view. The hotel was also set back from the main road slightly so it wasn't too noisy, although there was a minor road just outside our bedroom window. Thanks to the a/c you don't need to sleep with the windows open so the noise didn't bother us, and during the day the noise just adds character. We had a view of a lovely florist right opposite our bedroom window, and they had a gorgeous labrador we used to watch from our room and play with on our way out! As dog fans, this was a bonus :-)
The rooms were nice, not large but new and with a nice bathroom, which I find is important. We didn't stay here for the rooms, but were more then happy with ours.
Breakfast was great - it is a struggle to find a hot english/american breakfast in Paris, but this buffet breakfast really did fill us up! Hard boiled eggs, fresh baguettes and croissants, cheeses, yoghurts and as much as you want! We have large appetites but were substantially full after this!
Staff friendly and english speaking, and you can get an extensive map from the reception so you won't get too lost. Next time in Paris I think we will be back here!

A small, Newly renovated Hotel just 10 Minutes walk from Guard Du Nord. Located in a nice street with several bars and restaurans all in easy reach. I have to visit Paris twice a year for a large trade fair and this is the best hotel I have found when taking into account location, quality of room and value for money. Yes, the rooms are small but thye are very well appointed, nicely decorated and very clean

You could not want for more. This recently renovated boutique hotel is located just 2 mins walk from the Gare du Nord. Affordable for those on a lower budget but very comfortable. Recommend including breakfast as you will quickly find Paris is very expensive. Save some money for the evening meals expect to pay €20-€30 euros for 2 courses in most cafes/restaurants not including drinks.

This is a convenient hotel for a short stay in Paris. It is a small hotel in a nice, quiet residential area. It is described as being very close to Gare du Nord but it is not as easy to get to as they would have you believe, particularly if you are hauling luggage with you. However, just around the corner from the hotel there is a metro stop callled Poissoniere which is very handy for getting around the city.

The rooms are tiny as are most Paris hotel room. The lifts are also tiny. Having said that, the rooms are clean, air-conditioned, comfortable and have everything you need. There is also a little fridge. The bathrooms are tiny but have good showers.

Breakfast is simple but nice. Breakfast staff are'nt too eager to clean tables after other guests have finished dining though so you may find that you have to clean a table yourself.

The reception staff are fantastic! They are very friendly, heplful, informative and excellent linguists!

There is a bit of noise if there are loud guests in the corridors! I suppose it just depends on the manners of your fellow guests though. Theres no noise between hotel rooms which is good & also there is almost no noise on the streets outside at night.

The neighbourhood is quiet and safe and there are some lovely cafes and restaurants in the area. There is also a very handy supermarket just outside the hotel called Monop.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, in fact I would consider staying there again myself!
