As others have said, this is NOT worth 4-stars. It might rate 2, possibly 3 on a good day. Didn't have the unpleasant experiences of others, with bed-bugs, leaks, non-working lights, etc, but Housekeeping was dismal - never topping up the supply of teabags, coffee, milk, etc, without being asked, and when we checked out, they had to ask whether we'd had anything from the mini-bar (also not restocked). Didn't have any gin, or soda water in the half-assed "bar". Hotel information didn't state opening times of the breakfast restaurant, and the place didn't offer evening meals.
Compared with the Westbury, in London's West End (also rated 4-stars when we stayed there 5 years ago) this was about the equivalent of a seaside landlady's - without the sea. Still, the location was good, once we'd sorted out which way was north so we could find our way to the Place de la Concorde.
Reception staff were on the whole helpful, but room service breakfast on our first morning took over 40 minutes and two phone calls to arrive.
Wouldn't stay there again: I wanted a good 4-star hotel as a 'treat' for my wife's birthday and got this place. Very disappointed. Wife charmingly philosophical, thank God!
The piece de resistance was the toilet. Separate from the bathroom, it was about 90cm deep, 80cm wide. The door had no lock on it, and it was anyway necessary to have the door open while removing trousers etc, and it is the only loo I've ever seen where I had my toes, knees and forehead resting against the door whilst sitting on the pan. Enough information, I think.

My partner and I recently booked into this hotel as we love the location. I have stayed in many hotels in Paris and the vast majority have always been slightly run down- "shabby chic" if you will, with small rooms, even with 4*, so I wasnt majorly dissapointed when I checked in and saw the room. In honesty the room was clean, albeit small and the hotel in general other than reception could have done with a refurb but all in all for location it is not a bad shout, especially if you can get a last min offer like we did as some of the other hotels in the area were far more expensive. So clean and great location overall and def not as shocking as others describe. 4*? Probably not but neither are a lot of central hotels in Eurropean cities when you pay less than 200 euro a night.

We booked here for a week and were disappointed from the minute we arrived. It's a really old hotel with a small lift that can barely accommodate two people with bags.
The rooms are dates, old wallpaper and the AC's don't work. We changed four rooms, but in vain. We couldn't even leave because they refused to refund us. We were finally offered a fan.
The bathroom leaked from the ceiling in the last room - when we asked them to get it repaired, they came early morning and opened the door without knocking and went straight in to the bathroom!
The breakfast here is ok, but they close at 10 -- and the waitress will actually come to your table and ask you to leave - even if you're done and just want to stay back and sip your coffee and read the paper. Very surprising.
When I booked I was told there will be free wi-fi, but when I asked it was "not working" and was supposed to be ready "in a few hours". Didn't happen the whole week we were there.
The staff at the hotel can't care less no matter what the issue.
The plus point here is the location. the wouldn't last otherwise.
I'd suggest you try fot the few Best Westin properties around - smaller rooms, but can't be half as bad.

Recently stayed at this hotel and awoke at 3 am to bugs crawling in our bed. I had to sleep in the tub! Immediately booked another hotel and left early the next morning. When we checked out, the concierge was unphased by the complaints (must be familiar with this problem). She was completly unapologetic and rude.
