This review is not of a positive nature! Firstly the description of the accommocdation is completely inaccurate. There is a view of St Germain if you crane your neck out the window. The shower will be limited to 45 seconds as the drainage is non existant and will overflow onto the floor shortly after. There is definately no bath, iron or ironing board. This establishments idea of a non-smoking room is to remove the ashtray, but nothing will remove the smell. The bed linen, curtains and vanity all had burn marks/holes from cigarettes and stank. The carpet was filthy. Except for the weekend lady, and the night shift man, the rest of the staff we angry and rude and arguementative. We were overcharged for the mini bar. The safe is an extra charge as well. The cleaners wake you each morning about 10am. This was curious to me as if your key was not at reception then you would be in your room as you cannot leave the hotel with the key...so why did the cleaners not realise this? Perhaps a "do not disturb" sign might come in handy. I could go on and on but will say just this, do not stay at this hotel. the Rack price on the door is 195 Euro. I would not pay more than 49 Euro hostel posing as a $200 per night hotel. Be warned.

I also wish I had listened to previous reviewers. The location/ price for location was the only positive thing about this hotel. Otherwise, the front desk staff weren't that friendly, one girl didn't know how to work the phone system and couldn't transfer calls to my room, the cleaning lady was rude and let herself in without knocking, and worst of all, there is a club directly below the hotel and you can hear the music and people yelling until 4am. In fact, the club even uses the stairway for the hotel as a coat check. The room seemed kind of dingy and bathroom was small, bed was OK but wouldn't work for someone with a bad back. I would recommend staying a little further out to get a better deal for a better quality hotel. Paris metro can take you anywhere; I didn't feel the location of this hotel was worth all the noise and other negatives...

Unsatisfactory. Lists as a 3 star..that's a joke. The noise level was beyond ridiculous. I could deal with a microscopic room, if were a place of rest and peace. But it's anything but. I used earplugs and sleepaids, to no avail. It is located right above one the busiest cafes/bars on the boulevard. The partyers stayed until 4..only to have the garbage trucks come at 7. This is a bare bones, budget hotel at best. The only redeeming factor is that it's close to alot of things. Traveller beware!

Here are the positives--great location, excellent staff, adequate rooms and nice continental breakfast.

Here are the downsides: terrible bed--the springs were poking through the mattress; no internet connection, dirty carpet.

For a first time experience in Paris, this was an adequate hotel but my back would not let me stay here again. I don't know what renovations they did but they need to invest in better beds and nicer carpets, at a good carpet cleaner.
