I am not fussy at all and I accept that you get what you pay for but don't stay here. The noise in the hotel is unbearable. Not the hotels fault really but there is no way anyone could get any sleep in even mild weather as without the window open in a tiny room you would suffocate! The rooms are roasting due to the way the hotel is surrounded. No air at all can get in and the clients attracted to the hotel are not very desirable people. The area is scruffy, noisy and nobody goes to sleep all night on the bust streets.

We booked a three night package which included this hotel as accommodation. The staff are completely indifferent, the hotel room filthy and had not been maintained at all.
We slept there for one night and booked out and stayed at the Ibis around the corner at our own expense rather than live in dirt. The attached photo's show the condition of the room.

Avoid room 6 with the triple beds! - which may be allocated instead of a twin.

My friend and I booked this hotel via Eurostar for a 3 night stay. On first impressions it seemed much nicer than it appeared on the website. The location was great, just off Rue des Abbessess with its many street cafes, Sunday antique market and shops and a short walk from Sacre Coeur. The Abbess metro is about 5 minutes walk away, only a few stops from Gare de Nord and also Blanche metro station which is slightly further.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and attractively furnished with lovely watercolours of local scenes on the walls but we weren't completely happy with our room for a several reasons .

Room 6 is under the breakfast area, and the chair legs dragging loudly across the tiled floor above is very annoying at 6.30am. A bit like fingernails on a blackboard!

Also, the lever type plug in the wash hand basin was broken and the plug was stuck in the closed position. I reported this on the first day and was continually told that 'desole', but no one was able to look at it until the next day, and the next and the next....(I really hope it was fixed for the next person - I think it actually needed to be replaced by a plumber). Consequently, the basin filed up with water very quickly and then could not be used which was not very pleasant. We had to brush our teeth over the bath. The staff managed to empty it somehow every day , (with a straw?)but we could not. We asked to move rooms but were told the hotel was full. If we had not paid in advance we would have insisted in a reduction in the bill.

The bath did not have a shower curtain and the shower attachment had to be hand held so it was dfficult to keep the water in the bath.

Some of the tiles in the bathroom were cracking and coming away from the wall.

I had asked for a twin bed room, but got a triple bed. Luckily, this meant we could move the 3rd bed away from the wardrobe door so we could open the wardrobe but it would have been trickier if there were 3 of us!

I chose the Pavillon de Montmartre as a low-price-hotel where I stayed 3 nights in a 3-bed-room with my 2 daughters. I payed EUR 110 per night without breakfast. The first night has been charged automatically by the hotel from my credit card as payment on account. I have been in Paris many times before and I know Parisian accomodation which cannot be compared with international standard. So I did not mind the sticky old carpet (I prefered not to walk barefoot on it) and the missing bedside lamp (there is a hole in the wall where it is supposed to be) or the fact that TV did not work at all or that my bedsheet had holes...the old bathroom was quite clean and I was surprised to get fresh towels every day! But there is one thing I cannot accept: unfortunately one day I forgot my ring with small diamonds on the washbaisin, as we were in a hurry that morning. When we came back in the evening it was gone. The hotel staff was "sorry about that" and I was told that there has never been any robbery before. What else should they say?! There might be cleaning staff in other hotels who take guest´s valualbles as a "tip" but as an overall experience I must say: I will definitely not recommend the Pavillon de Montmartre to anybody! I love the Montmartre-quartier and walking around the area I have already collected brochures of other much nicer small 2-star-hotels for my next visit, before my ring was stolen.

On arriving at hotel, initial impressions were favourable.
As soon as we got out of the lift to go to our room, the decoration appeared shabby. On going into the small room, it continued to be shabby. The room and bathroom were clean, but definitely need some decorating and new tiles. There were cracked tiles on floor and walls. The bath was a half bath, O.K. for midgets, but not for full sized people, which would have been alright if there had been a shower. There was a shower attachment to taps, but no shower curtain , so if one did use it, the water did not stay in bath!
There were no carpets in the room, corridors or stairs. Most surprising as this does help reduce noise. It was obvious what people were doing in their rooms when they were in them, as walls were thin!
Our room was quiet away from the street (it is a very lively area) as we were overlooking the courtyard. But I did feel sorry for people staying in rooms on the stairs, very noisy with passing people.
Breakfast was fine and the ladies were helpful.
The hotel was not far from Sacre Couer and there were plenty of places to eat in area.
Also not far to metro.
This was my third trip to Paris and have stayed in the area before.
These were 2 star hotels as well, but were much better decorated. I would not choose to stay at pavillon de montmatre again, although the top floor was being decorated, so prehaps things will improve.
