The staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming and the room itself was spacious though basic and the batroom was on the small side but adequate. Perfectly acceptable for the price, given the location.
The hotel was located perfectly for our needs, a few moments stroll from 2 Metro stations and close to plenty of shops, restaurants and bars.
The breakfast was extra but well worth the small cost given the quality and extent of food on offer.
Liked the brekfast best, the cramped lift the least.

I paid 1000 euros for three rooms for 3 nights in october. I ordered a twin room with a male colleague.. I got a double and was told that I had to sleep with him or find another hotel ! We returned from dinner on the second night to find that the hotel was locked and that there was nobody to open the door for a very long time (it was freezing outside) I forgot my ipad charger in the hotel on leaving and was told that to send it to me in france would cost me a fortune. I live five hours from the hotel so I could not collect it. I told them to therefore throw it away. When you are in the hotel you are a client and are treated about average when you leave the hotel you are treated like nothing at all. Ibis place d'italie

Hotel is located just few minutes walk from Place d'Italie metro station. Very easy to get from airports (RER B plus M7). Shopping mall on the other side of the street. The hotel is very tiny - it has the dimensions of classic small hotel, charm of an international chain and safety of IBIS. Size of the room and a double bed in the corner was a disappointment. Lack of kettle and tea/coffee in the room was a disaster. As well as a price - double the rate in IBIS located outside periferique but still with good connectivity. Location of the hotel and a very nice crew compensate a lot. It is a very good beginning for visiting Paris. Assuming - it does not comply to general IBIS standards apart from being clean and friendly. However - still considered as a reasonable choice due to its location.

The average hotel room in Paris is a smallish hotel room, so unless you wish to spend all your time in a hotel room and have the euros to finance it, you need to adopt a slightly more circumspect approach in a review such as this.

No apologies for eulogising my favourite arrondissement either...........it's a great place to stay so all you have to do is find a half-decent hotel to stay in.

And the Ibis was a good deal better than half-decent. The room, tout confort, as they say.......painless check-ins & outs thanks to the smiling, laid-back staff........and I cannot forbear to comment on the review that alleged robbery.........in fact there is a strongroom full of individual safes, so all you have to do is ask for one and you will be able to deposit anything of value until you leave. And the use of these is free.

So would I go back? Seeing as it's damned good value too, I should think so.
