This hotel is rotten. It stinks and is in DIRE need of upgrading. It could have so spoiled our break but thankfully the weather was great and we were out all the time. Including champagne under the eiffel tower at midnight. Twice.
Area is ok - we were comfortable having cocktails in a local bar - all women - at 1am having just returned from town. Shops and stations were close. It is not too touristy an arrondissement but hey thats fine.
We eschewed breakfast having seen the state of the place. However staff kindly allowed us to store our picnic gear in their fridge.

My sister and I stayed at this hotel and regretted it. The staff were so cold, unhelpful and unfriendly.
The cleanliness of the hotel and the room we stayed in was absolutely appalling.
On our first morning, we were woken up by construction work right next door, as well as the traffic outside.
As for the location; ....when we were asking for directions to the hotel, a guy tried to steal my sister's laptop from right under our noses.
Like the title of this review says.....NEVER AGAIN!

My partner and I just returned from an excellent week in Paris. The most excellent part was spending most of our trip away from the hotel sightseeing and enjoying the wonderful food and wine. The hotel was very cheap so we were not expecting much, we have stayed in various hotels and B&Bs before but this would rank very low on our list of accommodations.

1. The room keys are attached to the remote control and you have to hand them to the man behind the desk upon leaving the hotel and collect it every time to get back into your room. This was really annoying!
2. We had booked a room with a double bed but upon arrival we discovered that it was just 2 single mattresses pushed together! This resulted in the mattresses becoming separated and someone eventually slipping down a gaping hole in the middle of the bed. Not cool! Also, the blanket was more like an open sleeping bag with cigarette holes in it.
3. There was nothing in our mini-bar.
4. The Wifi did not work in our room.
5. The walls were so thin you could hear people in neighbouring rooms singing in the shower (which was not so bad!). But one morning we were woken by someone spewing in their toilet. It was so loud I felt as though we were in the room watching and holding their hair back!
6. The doorman was very nice, but the other guy behind the desk was often unfriendly and blank, ignoring you if you were to say merci or au revoir.

But it was cheap and did not really affect our great holiday in the beautiful city. The location was good and the area was not so bad.

The only thing worth mentioning about this "hotel" is its cleanliness, well it's clean enough. Other than that, loads to complain about:

1. NO INTERNET! The signal is so weak that even when we tried in the lobby on ground floor, the internet wouldn't work, not to mention top floors!

2. By far THE WORST SERVICE. I know, this is no 5-star. Even then I've been to many 1-star hotels and hostels and they were much more polite and helpful than these people who give bad names to the Parisians. They tried to over-charge us when it clearly stated that deposit was paid, then they show you "(----) faces" when you ask about things in Paris and tell you they don't know. If you're a pretty girl, the (old) guys look perverted enough to serve you with a smile; but for average-looking girls and guys like me, go elsewhere.

I'm not gonna write anymore 'cause frankly, I think I've wrote plenty to scare you off. If you're still willing to give it a go, you can help me finish it off.
