This was a really well put together hotel. The room (had a junior suite) was wonderful. As parents travelling with a one-year old, the room's layout was perfect (room 62). As it was a junior suite the living room area and bedroom area were just separate areas of one large room. What made it perfect was that there was a small hallway included inside the suite with a few closets; the perfect size for the travel cot. When the little one fell asleep Mum and Dad could still drink some wine, listen to music and look at the Eiffel Tower out of the rooms window. The room and hotel felt luxurious (will not nit-pick between 4 or 5 stars). The staff was very friendly and courteous, and prompt with any request. It was pricey, but made our weekend in Paris very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this to anyone travelling with a very young child and wanting to still feel like they're having a romantic holiday once it's the little one's bed time.

A small but very well formed hotel with everything one could want. I stayed for work and was very happy with my room, facing the courtyard it was extremely quiet and a great rest. The bed was superb, everything was very clean and high quality, Wifi worked instantly, breakfast buffet was bountiful and cheerful staff delivered on everything for every request I had.
I will be back with my husband next time to enjoy the area properly, the best shopping and close to Champs Elysees and Grand Palais museums/fairs.

Good 4 star hotel with excellent location by the shopping street and in walking distance from very center of the city.
There are some very nice french restaurants by the hotel, metro station is in 5 minutes walking distance.
I can recommend this hotel to stay, the price was reasonable (for the Paris, comparing with other hotels).

My family of four stayed at the FDR in August. We loved it. It was odd to note that many Parisians were gone on their own vacations and had locked up their businesses in the area. But there were plenty of tourists so the city did not feel deserted. The hotel itself is in a fabulous location. We walked everywhere. It was clean and tasteful. The walls were covered in fabric. So charming. We rented two rooms. Our bed was comfortable. We had no view - we were on the interior of the hotel. But there was nice sunlight coming in and it was fine. Our children had a view of the city street and the restaurant. They enjoyed that. We had a nice bathroom, but the 2nd bathroom had an odd little half wall instead of a shower curtain. It didn't keep the water inside the tub, so that was a bit of an inconvenience. (Water everywhere)

As others have commented, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We even took fruit with us for the day and enjoyed having a snack for later. That was helpful in Paris, because it was extremely expensive to eat in this area of the city. I called it a "viewing fee". If you could view the Eiffel Tower - you paid a premium price for everything to eat or drink. So anything withing walking distance was very pricey. In neighborhoods farther away - dining and drinking were more reasonable. - but then there was the taxi fare. Oh well - just know before you go.

My techno savvy son was not too impressed with the internet connection available in the "business center". It was an extremely small phone booth in the basement area. That wasn't great, but maybe it limited his screen time, which is a good thing.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was helpful. The facility is lovely, clean, comfortable, safe and convenient. What more could you want?
