We had been in Paris in August and this hotel made our stay memorable.
Location was convinient - cosnidering connectivity to tube / buses . The staff is extremely co-operative and always ready to guide their guests.
Several Plus points to reception staff and hats- off !

We stayed here in August of 2011, and had a good stay. The rooms are small but clean and nicely updated. (Who goes to Paris to sit in their hotel room anyway?)

The location is central to Paris, and we had a decent 15-20 minute walk every day to get to the Seine and the sights we wanted to see. Boul. de Sebastopol is a relatively major street, but you wouldn't know this hotel was on a major route. We had a room on the top floor, so maybe that helped.

We found the staff helpful when we asked questions, and the breakfast room had a decent spread (by European breakfast standards,) although it was unclear to us whether it was included or not with our room - we ate there once, and weren't asked to pay for anything, so...

Good stay, would go again...

it's not bad, good location too, but the manager of the hotel (the guy at the reception in the morning) is a pretencious and mean. because of him my stay was ruined and i'm glad i don't have to go back there.

The hotel is a good, basic, no-frills hotel and reasonably priced. My room faced directly out onto the Boulevard Sebastopol, but the windows were soundproofed and I didn't hear a thing. The rooms were clean and well maintained, although a bit small. I did not have breakfast in the hotel, which seemed rather expensive. The staff at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and spoke both English and French.

A few reservations: the hotel is not that ideally located. Although it is very close to the metro (and the Gare de l'Est.) It is a way away from the Marais. Also, the neighborhood, while safe, is not very lively at night. Finally, and this is just my personal preference, the beds were WAY too soft. I prefer a more solid mattress and I felt as if i was sinking into mine. This is a purely subjective preference, however.
