Stayed at Le Senat the summer of 2011 and loved every minute of our stay. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable especially Naxime. The location was in walking distance to the Cathedral of Notre Dame and Jardin de Luxembourg. Located near the University of Sorbonne there is a unique cultural diversity which is evident by the many restaurants, boutiques and night clubs. In addtion, it is close to the metro that can take you anywhere in Paris.

Spend about 1 week per month in Paris on business. Discovered this hotel last fall and have been staying there since (instead of a generic business hotel on the periphery). Being in the middle of things in this neighborhood has made going to Paris interesting again.

Hotel is small, and you can stand in the middle of the room and touch all 4 walls in some rooms they are so small. But who cares? You're staying in the middle of Paris. Get out and live!

Hotel is clean though some things are a little beat up. Rates are reasonable and mine has always included breakfast and wifi. Metro and RER B and C are both a short walk. Luxembourg Garden is across the street.

Staying 2 nights in the hotel Le Senat was definitly worth it. It is in a prime location, very close to Jardin de Luxembourg, Le Marais, Ile de la Cité, Le bon Marché, perfect !. The rooms are as big as you can get for Parisien terms, bathroom is good with Hermès products (always nice).
Staff is friendly, Wifi should work (but not always). And don't take breakfast, cause you can get it much cheaper somewere else. But the hotel is good value for money comparing to other hotels in that area. It has a boutique charm, modern style. Loved Paris again....

We recently stayed at the Senat during a Christmas holiday to Paris.
The hotel was excellent with nice clean rooms and a first rate breakfast.
However, the most outstanding issue was the level of service provided by the front desk and other staff. They went out of their way to help us book cars and trains. far beyond what we have received at other hotels. Amele at the front desk was particularly helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this hotel!!
