If you need a location right next to Nord station, for example for Eurostar proximity, than this hotel is ok for one night. But for the price I paid (€135 during the week, excluding breakfast) you can get a much better hotel elsewhere. I didn't like this hotel and I would not come back here again.

My room was small, painted in sad grey-ish colour with matching grey carpet, and overall claustrofobic. I was depressed within 10 minutes. Cleanliness is ok but there are various small damages: a part of shower faucet missing, something broken here or chipped there, overall furnishing didn't give very good impression. Sound isolation was poor - I could hear people on the corridor talking or neighbour next room sneezing. Breakfast area was tiny and cramped.

Overall it's one of those Paris hotels that has good location, right next to station and metro, but does not need to attract repeat travellers so is underinvested and overpriced.

The location of this hotel is superb. The train station is across the street, The Metro is next to the building and a multitude of cafes surround the place. Our room was clean and pleasant. The street below was noisy, but calmed down toward late evening. The food in the hotel dining room was very good. Our room was quite small as was the dining room. The staff was helpful. ...a great buy considering what you pay.

Great place to stay if you are looking for a convinient place to move around Paris. Setback is the hotel is far away from the eleysees but hey for the price you are paying who cares about the change of tube or the waiting time. But one advice is one would have to plan the trip before shopping otherwise you are going to end up wasting a lot of time on the subway. Overall great place and clean bedsheets and toitlet. Though a bit small nonetheless value for money! Try to book in advance so you get a cheaper room rates.

Are all these other reviews about this same hotel?? I really did not like this hotel, to the point that I almost left upon seeing the room (which I've never done before!).
It is directly across the street from Gare du Nord, which is the only good point. I know the area is not great, but a few days before had stayed at the AllSeasons near Gare de L'est (not far away) and had a much better experience.
* I had a room on the 6th floor. Squeaky elevator, smelled like booze. The ceiling of the room was stained and chipped, there were nail holes all over the door, the TV volume wouldn't work so I could barely hear it, all of the photos were bolted to the walls, the bathroom smelled like mold & mildew! I was seriously scared of getting bedbug bites, so wore long yoga pants to sleep in.
* The area is not great at night (this is just how it is around Gare du Nord), but I was shocked to arrive back at midnight and see the front door wide open so anyone could walk into the hotel! I actually asked the front desk guy if that was normal. Other hotels I've stayed at in the area have a secure entry.
* Overall impression that this hotel could be rented 'hourly'- supported by nasty beds, boozy elevator and a big vending machine in the entry hall which sells toothpaste, and 'personal products' etc...
* Wanted to leave my luggage during the day, but they have no luggage room - the bags were just left in the entry area near the always-open door!!! Ok so there is a person at the desk full time, but I still wouldn't trust anything slightly valuable being left there. I suggest to leave your bags at the Left Luggage lockers at Gare du Nord instead.
* Paper thin walls, was woken up several times by neighborhs on the 6th floor and the elevator.

Very disappointed. This is the first time my experience differed so greatly from the other trip advisor reviews.
