I arrived into Paris to be hounded by Romanian beggars outside Paris Gare Du Nord. I had to locate the hotel which to my surprise was facing me! I asked to check in but was told to come back later on. I arrived an hour later just to sit in the waiting area with some food as I ate the recieptionist shouted down my ear for falling a sleep which rather angered me!! I eventually checked in. To be put in a tiny room with dodgy characters liotering outside the hotel which made me niave. I couldn't get no sleep due to banging and shouting outside the hotel. I later went out at night for a meal and came back to a locked up hotel when I buzzed to enter the hotel i was ignored for a good 20 minutes. I will NOT return to this hotel, the best feature of the hotel is, the restaurants near by and the train station across the road

A única vantagem é a localização. Ah e wifi gratuito por 4 horas dia. Da estação Gare du Nord basta atravessar a rua. Acomodações sem conforto, elevador mal cabem duas pessoas com as malas, chão cheio de desníveis, banheiro com higiene pobre e odor fétido dos esgotos. Funcionários ma humorados.

Arrived late at night and was given a room on the 5th floor. Not a problem apart from the lift was out of order! After dragging cases up the five flights of stairs, tried the key card - didn't work so down the stairs I went! Three cards later the receptionist came up and opened the door and promised to sort out the card.
Thankfully the lift was working the next day but I had the same problem with the key card everytime I came back to my room. Although the receptionist knew about the problem they did nothing about it - 'Oh it must be broken' they said every day! Wasn't impressed and this spoilt an otherwise ok stay at this hotel.

Great location if you need to be near the station, it's across the road from hotel. (just walk past all the dodgy looking characters that loiter outside it)
The room was surprisingly larger than the average hotels in Paris. There were 2 adults and 1 child in the room, and felt spacious.
As far as service goes, the day shift receptionist was not helpful at all..in fact at one point I was right in front of him wanting to ask for advice and he ignored me all together! So rude! Although the night guy was a lot friendlier and really helpful.
Don't buy the breakfast package, it's not worth it. There's a lot of places nearby that have much better range and value.
Altogether not bad if staying short term, we were only here for 2 nights.
