Wifi internet is FREE in the hotel despite what any booking sites tell you!
Supermarkets: Big Monoprix a block further down from the McDonalds (which is near Charles Michel Metro station). Another cheap supermarket 2 mins away through the small road/alley directly facing the hotel. (Also another Monoprix if you then bear left and take the first right!)
Breakfast is 11.50 EUR so didn't bother. There are bakeries nearby but I just stuck to cheap fruit, milk, cornflakes, sandwiches from the supermarkets above.
No water served in the hotel. Have to pay 3.50EUR a bottle! I just went to the supermarket and stocked up on 0.50EUR bottles.
Rooms have a fridge so use it to store your cheap supplies from supermarkets!
Bus 42 goes to Gare du nord so if you are coming/leaving from there it is a quick and convenient way to travel with your luggage rather than up and down the stairs of the Metro!
There is strong airconditioning in the rooms (too strong even!). Curtains darken the room nicely for a good sleep.
Safe to walk post midnight in the area with my family.
Cleanliness is good.
Hotel allows you to leave luggage prior to check in/post check out.
Baths have shampoo, soap, towels etc. No toothpaste (though didn't ask). Shower has good pressure but needs to be held by hand unless you're a short person (I'm 5ft 9)
Eiffel Tower is a 20 minute walk away.
Velib bikes situated not far but I didn't try them.
Lots of restaurants/cafes around but didn't try as I was travelling on a budget (sandwich supplies from supermarkets or McDonalds!).
Staff speak English.
As for noise from rooms next door, the most I could hear was a toilet flush or if someone decided to shout very loud. Not a problem.
Stay here if you want to be close to the Eiffel Tower but also close to shops, food, metro and bus! Our night time trips to relax by the Eiffel Tower and watch the glittering lights made this worth it.
