I stayed at this hotel in Dec 2010, just before Christmas and was totally shocked at the experience I had at this hotel.

I got into a argument with the night manager one evening regarding the hotel and then he started punching me YES punching me a stafff member of the hotel ?? This was not a heaving converstation at all.

I was absolutely shocked at what I saw here, I reported it to the reception the next day and till now no one has called to apologize for the incident or anything !!

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone !!

I'm still shocked about the incident.

Stay away its dangerous to live here !!

The view of the Eiffel tower and the convinience of the metro at your doorsteps is a big plus point of this Hotel. The place was full of cafes and street side restaurants and grocery markets.The washroom didn't have a shower curtain and thus water used to spill out. The rooms were small and the lift smaller , but in terms of Parisian standards this was a good value for money. Some of the staff could have been a little polite. The free internet for all your devices was a big plus point. The 1.4 km walk to the Eiffel tower was charming and convinient from Hotelle grenelle.

Despite the location, this hotel lets itself down because of the attitude of the lady hotel manager who is very abrupt. I can only assume that the attitude is that the hotel will sell itself because of the location. Customer service is not top of her agenda, surprising for someone in that line of work.

The main complaint, apart from the above, is the fact that balcony in my room had a very unsafe railing outside the window. It has clearly seen better days, had deteriorated over a period of time, and would not pass a health and safety inspection. In fact, it was quite dangerous, loose and insecure.

I also found that little things that were asked for were never followed up. For example, the phone did not work in my room. I reported it but it was never repaired. Nor did I get an extra towel when I asked for it. I couldn't help feeling that the hotel management were not interested once they had got my money. I won't return. I often travel to Paris and will be looking for another hotel next time. I advise others to do the same.

Stayed for two nights at this hotel (one week apart). Good impressions on booking in, first room basic, but clean and comfortable, although pillow could have done with being replaced a few years ago. Breakfast was very basic and at nine euros per person was a bit of a rip-off. There were plenty places further up the street which served much better for the same price which is what we did on our second stay. Second stay was nearly a non starter as the male receptionist informed us that we didn't have a booking despite my showing him our printed booking confirmation. I used the computer in reception and was able to find our email confirmation from the hotel for our booking - hey presto! A room suddenly became available which was much nicer than our first room. Reception staff were more than happy to phone for taxis for us on departure each morning. Being in Paris I did not intend to spend any time in the hotel other than for sleeping, would use it again.
