I was back in Paris for work after being there for pleasure in August. That time I stayed at the Hilton Arc de Triomphe and wrote that it was disappointing for the price(I had used points but the posted rate was outrageous). This time at the Radisson Blu, the location was similar but the experience was worse: crappy wood floors, worse bathroom, cold shower, somewhat unpleasant staff, elevator didn't work at times. Therefore if I had a choice, I would take the Hilton, but at the end of the day it's all about price. We used to stay at a former Sofitel in the area which was great. It's now part of a boutique chain, but it's worth looking up.

Booked for business by company. Great location for conference. Walked everyday to Palais des congress. Front facing room so view of Arc de Triomphe. Really just a small business hotel but run by international management company. No fuss. Clean, reasonably quiet double glazed windows to the front, wifi included (I think). Only issue was aircon faulty on first day (reported previously by other members). For business, for the price, it's quite reasonable and I'd stay there for the location. Not for leisure as very bland hotel otherwise. Staffs were genuine and nice.

I have regularly stayed at Radisson hotels throughout the world and have rarely been disappointed. The Champs Elysees version maintained that success rate and my wife and I found all of the staff very willing to help, courteous and able to communicate effectively despite our basic French - indeed, without exception the individuals at the front-of-house spoke excellent English.

We had a double room on the 7th floor with a balcony from which we almost overlooked the Arc de Triomphe some 100 yards or so away while the Eiffel Tower was also visible above the roofops of the buildings opposite. Inside the room was a desk/chair plus an armchair and table while there were ample space and hangers inside the wardrobes for clothes. The TV showed a variety of French channels plus the usual additions such as CNN, BBC World and an assortment of other foreign stations with a range of pay-per-view films also available. There were no tea-making facilities within the room.

My only slight reservation was the cost of breakfast ranging from 24-29 euros per person ("Continental" and "English" being at the respective extremes) although I must admit that the fare on offer was excellent. For those not wishing to spend as much, or looking for a smaller snack there are many nearby cafes offering simple breakfast for 6-14 euros.

Etoile RER/Metro is about 200 yards away so the rest of Paris is easily accessible if an alternative to walking is required.

I've stayed at the Radisson Blu Champs Elysee for the second time on a business occasion. Overall very good quality, nice modern rooms, clean and silent. The service was up and down: a couple of people at the bar and braekfast were particularly slow-reacting, but the lady in charge of lunches and meetings was excellent. A special comment for the concierge, who helped us in finding excellent restaurant and was of an extraordinary courtesy.
Of course the hotel is a bit pricey..., but that's Paris and it's on Champs Elysées...
