We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights on our way back from Oslo, Norway, because we had to sit out Hurricane Irene. I was very pleasantly surprised. This was NOT expensive, and the room was VERY SMALL. But it was ingeniously designed, so that there was room for a wardrobe, and shower bathroom. In addition, we had French doors that opened onto a small balcony. The staff was friendly and professional, and the hotel was near the Rue Mouffetard. And it was VERY CLEAN.

I highly recommend this hotel, it is great value for money!

Just returned from a couple of nights stay at the hotel sunny.
It was absolutely fine, Yes it could do with a refurb but it was clean.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
It is on a main road but when the window was shut you couldnt hear a thing.
Bed was hard and my back ached the next day, but that always happens to me if i sleep in a different bed. You only get one pillow but got another one with no problems.
The main plus for me, is that I felt really safe in the hotel and the surrounding area, even at night.
Would recommend the boat trip on the seine, and a trip up the Eiffel tour at night is a must.
Would stay there again no problem

Hotel is well located, just 10 min walk from Port Royal RER. Five minutes to Muffetard, ten to Jardin de plants. Just a few bus stops from Pantheon, Notre Dam atc. Perfect bus connection to the right river bank, direct bus to Opera. I felt quite safe staying in that district.
Single room with bathtub is very tiny and dark!, better to stay in double with bath. Good everyday cleaning. Receptionists are very friendly but not all speak english enough.

Considering I don't speak the language the people at the hotel were very helpful and polite. The accomodation was clean, quiet and comfortable.
My room was cleaned every day and the price was right. 80 e per night. Stayed for 9 days. I had breakfast there a number of times and yes it was "to a Canadian" an odd selection of pastries and a big container of warm milk for my coffee??? It was a clean room and the ladies were quite polite to me. Rooms of this nature always seem to be downstairs.
I spent hours looking for a hotel before leaving for Paris and a friend suggested this one. The neighbourhood is close to M and bus lines for travel into the city center. I was surprised to read reviews that talk about small elevators, paper thin walls, small rooms etc. This just seems to be the way it is in Paris. I did look into a bleak courtyard but I was not there for the view. This hotel is close to Mofftard market, to Port Royal station to get to CDG airport (check schedules this summer for the trains, they are working on the lines and it caused me a lot of anxiety the day I left) and lots of cafe's and grocery stores close also.
