having read the reviews of this hotel on TA i was nervous arriving at this hotel and unfortunately all my fears were seen to come true. I had booked a double room and when i go tot my room i discovered it had twin single beds, not a huge deal in its self but once i asked at reception for the beds to be pushed together and remade as a double bed, it caused laughing between the staff as though i had asked for my room to be repainted. After my first night upon leaving in the morning I was offered a "bigger better room" which i took the offer of and brought my bag down to reception and asked if it could be placed in my new room for my return, i was told "of course". Upon return that evening i found my bag still sitting in reception and once i dragged it upstairs and opened the door to my "bigger better room" found a smaller room than my first one and a bathroom in worse condition. And apparently the free wifi did not work in this room as it was on the top floor, a minor detail the receptionist had forgotten to tell me that morning. The night porter could do nothing for me so i spoke with reception the next morning and was told that my original room was now occupied but they could give me one back on the first floor. i asked if my bag (now packed on the 6th floor) could be moved to the new room and was told this could not happen, i would have to bring my bag down myself. I protested saying that i would not have moved in the first place if i had been informed fully of the size of the room and the lack of wifi, this fell on deaf ears and in fact i was told that if i did not bring down the bag myself they had no other room for me. I brought down my bag and then ask if it could be put in my now 3rd room and was told yes of course, but upon my return that evening surprise surprise i found it sitting in reception..
I have been traveling to Paris for over 20 years and this hotel is by far the worst experience i have had, Lesson to learn, listen to TA reviews and don't book last minute. Oh and did i mention that for my trouble i was charged 167 euro a night !!!!
