“shame about the bathroom”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

This hotel is in a great position just off the Champs Elysees and has many lovely cafe bars within a few minutes walk. The hotel reception, breakfast room and bedroom were Ok and what you would expect for a 3* hotel but the bathroom was awful with mouldy walls, a large hole in the side of the bath and plastic falling off the ceiling. Hotel staff were helpful and friendly with the exception of one particular person who was rude and unhelpful. We stayed in room 2 which was just off the main reception area so it was quite noisy.

“The worst hotel in 30 years of travelling”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 October 2011

Unfortunately, I could not find another place to stay near my office, during Paris fashion week, but, when i saw the pictures on the website, they looked ok and pleasant enough. The price of 200+ Euros was, after my finds, a ridiculous and totally un justified price to pay for such a total disaster of a place.
The room smelled of dirty bodies and dirty feet and the carpet was full of marks, which i do not want even to start to investigate where they came from. It was so dirty that I kept my shoes on at all times only to remove them when I went into bed. The cream coloured bed spread, was full of white and black marks and the matching curtains too. The tiny TV set from the 80s and the satellite were not working since , as i was told, the winds of the previous week blew it off but no repair was done in the first week i was there. I just managed to watch around 10 french language channels but only for 345 minutes each night when the TV and satellite went totally KAPUT. The air con was not working and with a week of 25/30 degrees, it was hellish .The wardrobe doors where not able to close. The bathroom had very stained marble tiles, with different colour marks and stains and the shower went hot and cold and the whole unit fell of the wall a few times. Yesterday, entering the Hotel's hall there was an incredibly strong and almost sickening stench of dead rats and sewage and i gathered that some sewage pipe must have burst so i quickly proceeded to my room and went to sleep as quickly as possible. I do not believe that the French Hotel association can let an hotel in such a lovely area of Paris especially, charge this sort of money and be in such ridiculous condition. I must stay here for another 5 days and for as much that i could change, it is so unbelievable bad that i must stay to se it through. almost laughable. Totally to be avoided. RG

Room Tip: there are not good rooms

“NIGHTMARE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 July 2011

This place should be removed from ANY listing! 1990 TV that didn't work, no hot water, stains everywhere, see photo I could go on and on but seeing is believing. The guy behind the counter felt so bad about us staying there he helped find another hotel!

“Price/quality ratio very low”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2010

Very good position, close to two metro stop and in proximity to Champs Elysees.
Room was very poor in furniture, the bathroom was dirty and after we complained to the lady at the reception nothing happened until next morning. The blanket was dirty too. Only French channels available on TV. Staff seem to hardly stand the presence of guests. Minimum level of courtesy.
Definitely does not worth his price.

“Cold rooms, unfriendly staff”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2010

We stayed here for 3 days, it was horrible! There are worn rooms without heating in winter.
We shivered in our beds at night. Paris was very nice in the winter snow but this dirty ice cave was the worst hotel in my life!
