The hotel is typically Parisienne. A bar underneath, a market square outside, metro stations at all four corners. Simple clean rooms at good prices for Paris and excellent connections for sightseeing. Across the road is the restaurant Produits du sud-ouest which serves excellent Cassoulet and Fois gras. I liked the Falstaff Bar which serves beers from around the world with about 12 on draught!

The hotel offers free wi-fi and breakfast delivered to your room. I would recommend a stay here if you want a taste of Paris whilst avoiding the new bland hotels.

Hotel is located in a very central area with restaurants,cafes, metro access, a market with produce displayed in a way only the french can.
The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful. We had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The staff were mostly friendly and helpful, the location very central, easy metro ride from the door to anywhere in Paris. The rooms were livable but nothing fancy. The lift was old and once it got stuck on the way up.. we had to wait a hour to be rescued. I didnt expect compensation for the minor inconvenience, but we didnt even get a "sorry"

My friend and I have just returned from our second visit to Paris; our first to the Montparnasse area. I booked this hotel due to the price, as well as the location reviews and was pleasantly surprised. For a 2 star hotel it ticked all the boxes for us. We booked a twin-bedded room which was of decent size with a spotless new bathroom and good shower. The room also had a Juliette balcony overlooking the square, which was a typical Parisien tree lined area and on certain days had a market. Because of this location we were able to soak up the atmosphere, even from the room and to complete it all, the weather was beautiful for October! Okay some of the staff were a little unsociable, but that didn't bother us as we were there to enjoy ourselves not to socialise with them, so this was not an issue. The bar/cafe underneath the hotel, (beneath our room) was an added bonus, especially when returning back at night, when we would call in for a late drink. So convenient!. Also, despite the busy street location, we managed to sleep well.

On the whole we were very pleased with the Odessa and would certainly return again in the future. If you're looking for a low priced hotel, in a good non-tourist area, with plenty of authentic Parisien restaurants, shops, easy access to the Air France airport shuttle bus stop, underground metro, with a great atmosphere etc; then this is the one. Just don't expect too many extras and enjoy!
